zubinpepsi Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 to be honest i dont like Afridi.. but he has really changed now...atleast seems like it.. magnaminous in defeat.. hats off..
coffee_rules Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Kohli has been sorted in the big stage. He is nothing but a front foot bottom hand plonker. Wish he is dropped for Pathan/Ashwin. Only superficial fielding will help his case. He is a total hack in the big stage.
vvvslaxman Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 If Afridi maintains this calm demeanour even Ian chappell might start liking him. :cantstop:
goose Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Hard luck Pakistan - felt for Afridi at the end, what a character! India just handled the pressure better.

It is very very difficult to click in every single innings. I do not think he choked today. It was a strange shot. I think he kinda tried to leave it.
Little_Master Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Well played Pak...I am sure you've exceeded your fans expectations. You can return home with pride. :two_thumbs_up:i
ensd2 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Before today I thought Afridi is brainless , but after his postmatch interview I have to admit I was wrong , he is a nice guy with good heart .

Square Drive Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Yes, Afridi was brilliant and unlucky today. Well played Wahab and Pakistan team! I'm really happy that Pakistan came this far, especially for Waqar, the coach. Axcellent job man!

vvvslaxman Posted March 31, 2011 Author Posted March 31, 2011 lol u indian fans r never happy with anyone ...kholi is future of indian battin line up ...if we fiand a batsmen like him we would be dancing on the streets ....all we find is idiots like shazab shazad fawad alam etc etc Kohli is definitely a good player in the making. The way he effortlessly played Steyn and Morkel in SA should not be forgotten. The "taulented" ROhit sharma f**ed up 90% of the chances he got. Kohli on the other hand used 90% of the chances he got. As long as he was at the crease he was comfortable. When the world cup started he was the most inform batsman for India. He didn't totally betray that tag. He did have couple of decent outings. Couple of innings he failed way down the order. This one .. he was kinda surprised.
Pak_Forever Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Nice words guys. Feels like a breath of fresh air here :--D Afridi's words in the end didn't make me feel that bad about the loss. It's nice to be humble after your victory....good luck for the final. SL playing in India hardly stands any chance.
Indiafan-Hyd Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Sad day for cricket fans all around the world One killed 45 injured in aerial firings across Pakistan KARACHI/QUETTA - Aerial firing on the occasion of World Cup semi-final clash between Pakistan and India left over 45 people including children wounded here in this mega City. The City gave a deserted look as commercial activities were almost suspended due to the match. Fans across the City resorted to aerial firing on each boundary got by Pakistani team which resulted in bullet wounds to several persons. There were hundreds of wide screens displayed across the City where thousands of people watched the match. Heavy contingents of law-enforcers were seen across the City especially at each open cinema. At least 14 injured were brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital,7 to Civil Hospital, Karachi, 10 to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre and some others were brought to the Qatar Hospital. Some of them were said to be in critical condition. The areas where mostly people were injured included Nazimabad, Yousuf Plaza, Liaquatabad, Kalri, Chakiwara, Orangi Town, Qasba Colony, Bukhari Colony, North Nazimabad and North Karachi. Meanwhile, mixed reaction was witnessed in Quetta after India beat Pakistan by 29 runs in the World Cup semi-final at Mohali on Wednesday. The cheers turned into mourning and the smiles faded away into tears of cricket lovers. Some people also fired gunshots in the air to vent their anger in different parts of the City. ‘It is just a game we should not take it so seriously. Pakistani players played well thus we should encourage them instead of criticising them’, Zakira, a cricket lover said, adding, that we got off to good start, but then at regular intervals, we started losing two to three quick wickets.
meloveindia Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Kismat hai g-a-n-d-u to kya karega Pandu :--D
Ranjha Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Hafeez's bad stroke, younis khans bad form and the crucial wicket of umar akmal led to paks downfall. But really surprised by performance of pak in this wc..not bad at all excepy dropped catches today.
King Tendulkar Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Lets be honest. We all hammer and takey mickey out of afridi, but secretly we all like him. He is not a great player. However, no doubts he is an enormous character and has provided so much entertainmemnt both intentionally and unintentinally.
