vvvslaxman Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 whereas,India is seen as the big dog, and Indian celebrations just piss people off. Being humble is not one of the virtues you indians fans or your cricketers have. (Except Sachin maybe) It is very hard to be "Fake appeal kings" Mahela and Sangu :hysterical:
super_kings Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 malcom speed definitely wants us to lose :hysterical: Malcom Speed: “I'm not a racist and I was never happy to be called a racist,†he said. Yep. I know exactly what you mean you bigot.:thefinger:
Prakat Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 It is very hard to be "Fake appeal kings" Mahela and Sangu :hysterical: A deadly pair those two behind the stumps. Tomorrow's drinking game: a shot of blender's pride every time there's a sanga appeal. worried may be too drunk by end of their bowling innings.
Prakat Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 It's cool to hate on the biggies. No cricketing nation liked oz when they were on their winning streak in the WC.
Ramzz Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Our love for the team is enough to conquer all the hate :giggle:
Bradman99 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Just like almost every country have been wanting Australia to lose.
Guest Shivani Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 BD will support India Eng Aus will be busy practicing for Ashes NZ & WI will be neutral Padosiz obv supporting the Raavans Canadians will be shoveling the snow the ones not supporting India are just jaaaaylus :dontknow:
Gotham Cronie Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I want Tendulkar to get his 100th 100 in the final in front of his home crowd. Would be an awesome moment. But, I always like to cheer for the underdog in neutral matches, so I want Sri Lanka to win.

saneindian Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 When it comes to playing bilateral series, everyone in Aus, Eng, Pak, SA, NZ etc wants to play with India. SL on the other hand hardly play against these teams bar Pakistan. But in a WC final, each of these nations will support the Lankans!!
21cent Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 There we go agian. indian fans comparing their team to the Aussies of the 1999-2008. They were unbeaten in 38 matches , India has barely had a winning streak for the last 4- or 5 games:hysterical::hysterical:. Inidans are just overhyped players who can never win a WC. :hysterical:
bihutoli Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Sometimes I don't get the hate people have for us Indian cricket fans. We just love our cricket team, sue us!
pinkfreud Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 The fact that people want India to lose is more to do with their grouse against the BCCI than their affinity towards Sri Lanka or any other team for that matter.
Mariyam Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 whereas,India is seen as the big dog, and Indian celebrations just piss people off. Being humble is not one of the virtues you indians fans or your cricketers have. (Except Sachin maybe) On what exactly are you basing these inferences? Humility is like guilt or salvation. Its always individual and never collective. Wouldn't you think its better if you gel with the people here, make a few friends, share a few laughs.etc That way, you can enjoy the final and after a few months, when the result of this game will not matter as much, you would still have 'gained' something.
Mariyam Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 From my observations and from what I hear, generally the Tamil diaspora world wide - be it in Singapore, Malaysia, Guyana, Fiji, East Africa etc tend to root against Sri Lanka. And that is irrespective of whom they are playing against. But this has more to do with politics than cricket.

I come to these conclusions after lurking as a guest in many forums including this one and the general behavior of Indian fans in stadiums and their over reactions to victory and losses.

About reactions.. i know how many srilankans wanted to lynch Kapugedara several times :hysterical: .

About reactions.. i know how many srilankans wanted to lynch Kapugedara several times :hysterical: . LOL if his appealing is bad. Then ICC should slap with with excessive appeal fines. Since i havent heard of any of those on him, im guessing its isnt that bad. Typing threats in a forum is not the same thing as actually destorying a player's house buddy.

So basically you feel sorry for Indian players. In that case shouldn't you support Indian players more? . From a cricketing perspective India/SL series generated lot of revenue for SL board. Indian cricketers are on good terms with Sl cricketers despite constant digging from Ranatunga or Mahela or Sanga in the press. SL player like Sanga was given captaincy in the IPL. Indian cricketing fraternity is the best thing that can happen to SL cricket. Not all fans are going around attacking players house. There are lot of sensible fans condemning such acts.
