Frankly why not? If you see the long list of non-entities from Australia who are in some “coaching” capacity with IPL teams and the even longer list of obscure “players” they have brought with them, then it’s about time India got it’s own back with Prasad advising the Aussie speedsters to change their role models from Bret Lee to Munaf Patel.

Agree i don't see why we cannot have Indian coaches in IPL atleast - people just want to be seen as spending a lot of good money and foreigners with laptops seems to satisfy everyone that high level coaching is happening.

Good players dont necessarily make a good coach . our best period as a bowling unit was when Venky was our coach , a lot of Indian fans tend to forget that & never got the credit he deserved .

Exactly. I don't understand the obsession with Aussie coaches especially in IPL. They bring nothing to the table and are simply there to collect easy money. Heck Aus have not even won a world T20, if want foreign coaches then why not go for English coaches as they are current T20 world champs? I really really do not get the blind worship of all things Australian.
