ravishingravi Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Absolutely priceless expression on Kirsten Dunst's face. LayW8aq4GLw&feature=player_embedded
EnterTheVoid Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 This guy can thank his lucky stars he didn't say this in America. It would have been instant career suicide.
Indiawin Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 I think all his blood weren't in his brains and went somewhere else seeing Kirsten Dunst right beside him. :hysterical:
WC2011INDIA Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Now, that is what I call a "Brain fart" moment. :hysterical::hysterical:
kubrickian Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 He is a great filmmaker no doubt but he messed up pretty bad there. Adding salt to injury is that he got kicked out of Cannes. Not really fair because he only spoke in jest and rambled some nonsense when the joke didnt work but jews are hyper sensitive about anything to do with Hitler or Nazis. They got to lighten up a bit me thinks. But it could also be a publicity stunt. :dontknow:
kubrickian Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 once your collective asses get kicked around and evicted a bit ... you will realize (may be not) ... its called learning lessons from history. It happened ages ago. Get over it already.
gaurav92 Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 ^:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
ravishingravi Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 once your collective asses get kicked around and evicted a bit ... you will realize (may be not) ... its called learning lessons from history. Wait!!! BB, so you are not for freedom of speech in this case.
EnterTheVoid Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 ^ A lot of nonsense gets peddled in freedom of speech. Ridiculing murder and genocide is unfortunately one of them.
ravishingravi Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 ^ A lot of nonsense gets peddled in freedom of speech. Ridiculing murder and genocide is unfortunately one of them. Either there is freedom of speech or not. Nothing in between. Btw, did we see the same video ? Where did he ridicule the genocide ? Just for those who don't have a background on Trier, he was raised Jewsih for 30 years. When his Mother was on her death bed, he was informed that his father was a Nazi sympathizer.
EnterTheVoid Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 No, I don't believe freedom of speech has to be either black or white. Denying the holocaust or claiming wild conspiracy theories is not freedom of speech, it's bullshit. It's also denying history.

Trier made a movie called Europa, which was set in post WW2 Germany and in one of the scenes he had shown Jews in a sympathetic way. He never denied Holocaust and neither is he anti semitic.
EnterTheVoid Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 ^ Triers may or may not be but you certainly seem to be full of it when you said Jews should simply "get over" the genocide of their kind under Hitler

I never said they should "get over" the genocide of Jews. I was saying there is no point in getting so offended when someone makes a joke about Hitler/Nazis especially when the person was just playing around. Nice attempt at putting words in my mouth. :fail:
