the_indian_fan Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 yes, delhi is the new POWER-HOUSE of indian cricket now & not mumbai. tendulkar was the last legendary cricketer from mumbai (unless u count agarkar as well). after agarkar, no mumbai cricketer has been able to get into the indian team on merit. players like rohit sharma have required quotas to get into the indian team. a average of 27 after 60+ odis says it all. rohit sharma cant even put bat on ball & the bcci in the hope of producing another mumbai lenged, give him the chance even though everyone knows that rohit sharma is **** about time bcci realises that the future legendary batsman are going to come from delhi as delhi has become the new power-house of indian cricket. already 2 batsmen - sehwag & gambhir are legends. and we have virat kohli who will be a legend after 5-10 years. rohit sharma by that time would have been kicked out of mumbai ranji team even. also in bowling, delhi have produced a tall 150 kph+ bowler in ishant sharma. he is finding his old form back & is going to win us many test matches so everyone & especially the bcci have to realize that delhi is the new power-house of indian cricket & not mumbai

Players from Delhi dont automatically become good and others dont become less so just because they are from another city. Its this mentality which kept Indian cricket back for many years in the past.
