f.b.m Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Rare optimism from you. =) Yeh true. I've looked at my previous few posts and detected a grvm undercurrent of negativity.. On topic, have you tried out DMT in its pure form? Its supposed to be only for hardcore trippers but I want the experience of the big step from mild to extreme tripping. Any thoughts?
Nova Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 I missed this one...the mother of all threads...nice...you finally had a full psychedelic experience. Flamyyyyy OK some more recollections: Day One:I sat up and then it started. Small ripples of giggles. And more. And then, some more. And then just rip-roaring laughter. I had the entire room laughing :D Curiously enough, my trip was not as visual as I was expecting it to be. Can you go into uncontrollable laughter? LSD will give you a more visual experience...that's what I read. I wonder how smoking DMT is different than drinking Aya. Day Two: And, that was the catalyst I needed to completely relax and laugh hysterically. My laughter again got everybody laughing, rolling, slapping the floor etc. I was also shown how much the "One Consciousness", "God" or whatever you want to call it, loves a sense of humour. It was clearly revealed to me that my purpose was to make people laugh :D Looks like it accentuates one's personality. If someone is prone to be sad, would Aya make them more sad or make them cry? I think I would laugh... just a buzz makes me giggle. I went below and planted a lion on the toilet :hysterical: It was a soft toy lion. Then, I went and brought the lion upstairs and put him on the healing mat :hehe: :WTF: but :hysterical::hysterical: These are the Divine Moments of Truth dmt, dmt, doo dee doo dmt, lsd doo dmt, lsd doo dmt...divine moments now, divine moments of truth, total and utter cosmic stuff...' 'be here now... i love everybody' g-8mG5uCU2g
flamy Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 Flames, I checked out on Ibogaine - I think it is the same thing I was referring to...similar to ayahuasca, a ritualistic drink to alter consciousness. But I am still not 100% sure coz "ibogaine" the name seems to be about the chemical compound and it seems it is a very good de-addiction medicine for addicts (so quite obviously banned in the developed countries..lol). I am not sure if the african drink is called ibogaine too Yes, Iboga kills heroin addiction. Which is why, after its short stint in the drug cartels, the cartel got wise and got rid of it :D It is a Bwiti tradition in the West African country of Gabon. Other African countries may also have borrowed it. The African drink is called Iboga.

On topic, have you tried out DMT in its pure form? Its supposed to be only for hardcore trippers but I want the experience of the big step from mild to extreme tripping. Any thoughts? I haven't tried it. There have been medical studies with pure DMT injected into the bloodstream, and the effects are similar. For me, Set and Setting is very important. The entire intention set during the ceremonies I sit in is of Healing and Purging - a katharsis Smoking DMT is generally considered dangerous. I dont do this for tripping anyways, so I probably never will. However, my last trip was extreme. I took a large does of Aya, and spick-spack-bang! Which is why I didn't even bother to report here, and I'm not inclined to either. Terence McKenna, one of the more famous psychonauts had a similar experience and he just stopped doing Aya, or at least took a long break from what I remember. You have to understand that Aya is a very physical experience also. I made the mistake of not having an empty stomach and that contributed to me being absolutely blasted. X( I missed this one...the mother of all threads...nice...you finally had a full psychedelic experience. Flamyyyyy Can you go into uncontrollable laughter? 'be here now... i love everybody' Haha, my boy Shpongle. I actually listened to Shpongle the day after. This very track. :D Divine moments of truth indeed. The connectedness you feel with everything in the Universe is immense. The relationships I have forged with the people in the ceremony is life-lasting. A complete and deep appreciation for each other and pure Love. be here now... i love everybody :yay: You are always in control, when you really need it. Whenever things overwhelmed me, I would just ask Mother Aya to be gentle for a moment. Aya works in conjunction with your Higher Self, and you are always taken care of. I understood the essence of insanity, but didn't go over the edge. Our psyche is so vast and beyond words. As for accentuating your personality, Aya is a wonderful, wonderful tool for Self-exploration and Self-realization. At her essence, she is a purgative. You will purge all that doesn't serve you. And let me tell you, it is one awesome purge :D The kind of retching I went thru is nothing like the regular vomiting (which is also purging, just that of physical toxins). It was like I was throwing up deep, deep parts of my Soul that got corrupted. :D In retrospect, this is not for everyone. Some of us are just not ready, and this just doesn't click with us. And it is OK! I am no better or worse than anybody else. We are all magnificent. It is all about owning up. Take ownership of the God within. I sat down with my Mom yesterday and explained to her my entire journey and allayed all her fears. My parents are rockstars.

krvind Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Flamy, if you don't mind my asking... what are you seeking. Is it Enlightenment. What are your thoughts on Jill Bolte Taylor's stroke of insight video on TED.com I can't add a link, as this is just my 3rd post (10 posts minimum limit to add links). Is this all just about getting the right brain to work?. I have been a bit curious about this whole thing lately.

Is this all just about getting the right brain to work?. I have been a bit curious about this whole thing lately. I don't mind you asking. That's what this thread is for. The thing with Enlightenment is people treat it as an end goal. But, there is no end to learning. However, what I am seeking are answers. Origins and Purpose. This is why I have no qualms with Science/Atheists. The questions I am asking are different. The question Science asks is How. The question I'm asking is Why. As Joseph Campbell says, I'm following my bliss. There is a deep inner knowing, a Resonance I feel when I am aligned on my path to Truth. What do you mean getting the right brain to work? It already works =) I'll check out the video.
