What a trash way of reporting. The article stays in its 8th paragraph that KP said this during England’s match against Australia A. It doesn't even mention whether he said it recently or from the past, whether it was from the Ashes last year or the year before it. No time frame, selective interpretation and blowing out of proportion. Sensationalists will talk trash.

Strauss moved over when he was 6, i'm not sure whether both his parents are Saffers or whether just one is but i have absolutely no problem with him representing England. Same with Prior who moved over at 11 and has 1 English parent. KP has an English mother so in my opinion he is entitled to play for England IMO. However, i can see why people can object as he only moved to England because he was unhappy with the set-up in South African cricket. Geraint Jones - Lived in Australia until 22 (born in Papa New Guinea). However he does have Welsh parents so he is eligible to play for England. Jade Dernbach - Moved over when he was 14, has no English blood in him. However, he did not really play cricket in South Africa and he came through the English system. Jonathan Trott - Has an English Grandmother. I am not happy with him playing for England, he is a Saffer. He went out and celebrated with Graeme Smith and co when South Africa won their last series in England. Craig Kieswetter - Moved over at 18, half Scottish-half Saffer. He shouldn't play for England. Eoin Morgan - Really talented player but he has nothing to do with England. The selection of the last 3 players has really put me off supporting England in the last few years. Trott and Morgan are superb players but should not represent England.

So much BS, especially regarding the likes of KP, Kieswetter, Trott. They are playing becoz of favorable immigration rules due to Kolpak rules. It's unfortunate that ECB's hands are tied and will pick players on merit. All Kolpak players who have gone to play in county cricket are professionals who want to earn a better living, and playing for England was nothing more but mere job promotion with higher perks. When KP mentions "it's my dream to play for England" everyone knows they are hollow words, but people let it pass because he is talented and deserves to play at the top level. At the end of day, I am happy England gives players like Pietersen and Morgan the opportunity to play at the highest level, it would be cricket's loss if that didn't play.
