yoda Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 water was slow like a puddle and then suddenly takes off. WTF! Really sad to see that.
WC2011INDIA Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Stupidity. They should have immidiately got back on the shore when they could see the water was rushing towards them. They just stood there hoping the flow would decrease, but it kept increasing. RIP
Desi Cartman Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Asia/Story/STIStory_691968.html NEW DELHI - AN AMATEUR cameraman captured five members of a family being swept away by flood waters at the weekend in a deadly accident at a waterfall in central India. Local police officer P.S. Maravi said the holiday-makers were bathing below the 90m Patalpani waterfall in Madhya Pradesh state on Sunday when they were caught by a torrent of water. After hanging on to each other and clinging to support, they were swept away. Three were found dead, while two survived, the Press Trust of India news agency quoted officer Maravi as saying. Almost 200,000 people have been effected by flooding in the north-eastern state of Assam and monsoon rains have created havoc in several other states including in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtara and Uttar Pradesh. -- AFP
lonestarranger Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 That **** is insane. The other people just couldn't help. Why were they even there in the first place?
IKnowU Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 that shite is fake, its from the new planet of the apes :(( RIP though
achilles Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Its good to have fun, but then a person has got to decide - "2 mins of fun or living life". This happens all the time everywhere in the country. Unfortunately, people just don't learn. Everyone wants to go to these places when it rains, for it brings the peacock out of them. But they forget to weigh the pros and cons, the risks involved. Very sad.
IKnowU Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 but wtf were they doing crossing a stream that close to cliff face???? :stupid: Doesnt matter what the conditions were...........but that close to the cliff face is dumb as you can get.
achilles Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Whats even more shocking is that there was a mid-aged man (probably the father) who was stuck there and if you look closely, it is he who inadvertently caused the accident. He should have not taken his children there in the first place, given the risk involved.
Sidhoni Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 First time I saw a vid like this. The force of water was slow initially but in just 1-2 seconds, it became rapid. The person who fell first, dragged the rest of them as they were all holding hands. :(( RIP
punjabi_khota Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Don't put this kind of crap in here man...:wall: First rule of putting videos Avoid where someone died. :(( Couldn't watch and closed it before they fell
coffee_rules Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 ^AGree. It affects everybody, such vids shd be banned by FB itself.
Aaku Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 When they can see like 50 pple running back to safe land when water starts, why the hell do they keep standing there and chill ? Bewakooof nahi hote hai locals! Some pple just dont value life. But ya,sad!
Ram Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 That is mortifying. Cannot believe an entire family of 5 got wiped out because of a moment of laxity. And seeing them cling on to each other in the end was so poignant and depressing. :((
