rkt.india Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 http://www.espncricinfo.com/india-v-england-2011/content/current/story/529002.html Ajinkya Rahane, the Mumbai batsman, and Jharkhand fast bowler Varun Aaron have been called up to India's ODI squad to replace Virender Sehwag and Ishant Sharma. PS: Why not replacing Rudrinzmam Pratapul-Haq Singh
The Realist Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 How many have dropped out so far on tour now - is it some sort of record? Good to see youth getting a chance though, help to freshen things up as the current squad on tour just smells of defeat.
Trichromatic Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Third player from Jharkhand to get chance in international cricket :yay:
rkt.india Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 too little too late.anyway they wont get a go ishant is not there, so munna, pk, and varun looks to be a possible line up[ if he does well in warmups and T20, Rahane may also get chance in warmups.
urbestfriend Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Aaron :yay: rkt.india is the happiest man in the world today :haha:
Sidhoni Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011  But only if they get to play... Playing XI would be:- Sachin Parthiv/Rahane Wall Kohli Raina Rohit Dhoni Munaf RP PK Ashwin
FreakazoiD Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Well we'll soon know won't we. Hope Aaron doesn't turn out to be another of those overhyped, deceptively slow trundlers that Indian cricket has become accustomed to. I have seen it on innumerable occasions in the past, from the days of Dodda Ganesh and David Johnson to the more recent Munaf Patel (supposedly our answer to Shoaib Akhtar), Irfan Pathan and then Abhimanyu Mithun. Having said that, I am nervously hopeful, but not overly optimistic.
akshayxyz Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Ok lets see ye naya launda kya gul khilata hai. Good luck.
Lord Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 ishant is not there' date=' so munna, pk, and varun looks to be a possible line up[ if he does well in warmups and T20, Rahane may also get chance in warmups.[/quote'] heard about the legend of Vinay Kumar?Im sure he'll be preffered.then theres left arm spin of RPS btw what about Irfan?is he fit,he could've been good no.7 in these conditions.can swing the ball.did okay in IPL too
rkt.india Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 Aaron :yay: rkt.india is the happiest man in the world today :haha: i am always happy for any young genuine fast bowler who is selected for India. i was happy when munaf was selected as i used follow him a lot through internet, but after a great start he disappointed with his attitude. I would love it myself if i had the the kind of talent Munaf had when he debuted for India. these so talented guys dont understand it that how rare it is and how God has been blessed them with that kind of talent which they have wasted.
rkt.india Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 heard about the legend of Vinay Kumar?Im sure he'll be preffered.then theres left arm spin of RPS btw what about Irfan?is he fit,he could've been good no.7 in these conditions.can swing the ball.did okay in IPL too but wont they play one pacer at least instead for four spinners. I really do not think we will see RPS again in this series. I am amused why is not replaced by some one else.
The Realist Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 This was the original ODI squad: Squad: MS Dhoni (capt & wk), Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag (vice-capt), Rahul Dravid, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Parthiv Patel (wk), Amit Mishra, R Ashwin, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel, Vinay Kumar Who replaced Khan?

I am amused why is not replaced by some one else. what we hope isnt gonna happen.I bet Aaron will not play atleast 1st 2 ODIs.Dhoni will give some stupid excuse
