Imagine, how does that make me feel. I do understand your apprehension about the risk of religious overtones in the thread but really this is far from a religious issue. Perhaps more cultural than anything. I mean I doubt there is a pious Muslim, or for that matter Hindu, who would refuse to work hard and instead survive of dole...and then make a claim that sood is haraam. I am with you on getting uncomfortable seeing people line up in parks to pray etc. Why is that so hard to understand for some people I would perhaps never know. Sorry to hear that Canada seems to be bending over quite a bit there.

That society (UK, France etc), incidentally, guarantees them the freedom to practice their religion.

Mariya 1st of all what i wrote is exclusively meant for muslims from a certain country.Dont take it on yourself. Read what Rajiv has written abut Parks being turned into praying places.....Malls places for religious propagation.There are incidents of closing down a canteen or hall to make it a temporaray place for praying each day.Demand of Halal food be made available in school canteens.....bringing priests to schools for prayers...........etc etc etc...........The list goes on.....bringing religion in every sphere of life.....if you want to follow the Sharia so rigidly...go to a country where it is followed..........India has a huge no. of muslims and i live in a state with a huge muslim population...........but i have never seen such things here.... The right to reely practicereligion doesnt mean making demands...if u need to pray pray at your home or mosque.You need halal food get it from home or go some where it is available why start making such demands?
