One innings and Jadeja is being compared to Kapil Dev with no consideration to strike rate and the era in which Kapil and Jadeja have played. With this performance he is almost a certain starter in the Champions Trophy later in the year - wahan par sab doodh ka doodh aur paani ka paani ho jaayega. Not sure. We will have Irfan back by then and it is better to have a seaming alrounder there than a spinning one.

Did well against pak, yet people want him dropped. Bonkers

We will then get to see wether he is worth place in team. Its in our interests to see, as he had been very good since ciming back in odi team, basically being mom in 2 of our last 3 matches Yeah, he has done well. But he has bowled like this even in the previous series against England in India. Honestly, can't see him making any impact outside the subcontinent in batting or bowling. The two main assignments for the ODI team are Champions Trophy and World Cup, and I can't see him making any impact there.

Again proves the point why jadeja is in team, as alternative is crapthan, hardly Kallis. Not an amzing alternative by any means, jadeja is better the crapthan imo.

That would be ideal and common sense, but that's not how Dhoni works. Remember the CB series where he kept on playing putting on one pathetic performance after another.

And his performances merit inclusion and we need to see if he has improved and can do what he is doing outside subcontinent(that goes for all our players to be frank). Its in our interests to see if he can impact. He is only 24 and seems to have improved. You cant dismiss his performances over last few games like that, been outstanding. And his fielding has been stellar, made a real difference as well

The no 7 spot has to be a batsman. the no 7 batsman 1. has to finish games in a chase or blast to a finish in innings 11. 2. has to take a team from 160/5 to 294 somtimes and hence has to bat solid. a bowling allrounder would be significant less returns over a period of time.

Look where they ended up.
