King Tendulkar
Problem with Yadav is' date=' unlike Johnson, he has pace but lacks control.[/quote'] Dude MJ had problems with control and sprayed it. Struggled. But the message never went out to him to compromise on speed. Message was always learn to bowl accurate but still bowl thunder bolts. Then he develops and becomes like this. Meanwhile any sign of some inaccuracy in India, straight away the message goes out. Cut down on speed, just be accurate Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Like I say mesage should aways be to blow off stump out of the water. We always o just hit off stump Like I have been saying yadav sending out messages that wants to focus on accuracy now. King Tendulkar
Thats too simplistic. Its whole culture. Even on this site you see lot of hate and scorn otwards fast bowlers and the age old insian comment of need accuracy blah blah Dhobi hates and does not get pace. Real problem Link to comment
I6MTW
Dhoni has always shown support for spinners rather than for seamers. Link to comment
Gunner
Dhobi would've turned MJ into Unadkat by now, if he'd been under him. Link to comment

putrevus
One more success story of IPL and people are killing IPL , this guy got so much confidence after playing for MI. Link to comment

putrevus
Still think Mj is not bowling as great as 7/40. England batting has been dented psychologically and when that happens batsmen just give in. Indian batting has been thru this rodeo many times. You need one strong innings to turn the momentum around. If Dhoni was captain, Johnson wouldn't have been playing or India unless he dropped his pace by 15 kms or so. Link to comment
rkt.india
Dhoni would have said he is erratic and spraying the ball. Link to comment

Doesn't give his best bowler the new ball. Doesn't play his fastest bowler on a pitch with pace and bounce. Sets crappy defensive fields and forces his bowlers to concentrate on 'line-n-length' instead of trying to take wickets. Uses part-time bowlers at crucial junctures of the match. Dhoni is undoubtedly a great ODI batsman, but his captaincy (esp. in tests) is as sh1tty as it gets. Retards like yourself should STFU instead of defending these glaring blunders, and your belief that 125k trundlers would win us matches will remain a wet dream. Link to comment
ravishingravi
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2I2U7KCGqpw Hmm! So for all this talk of greatness of modern batsmen and over hype of bowlers of the old, it might help to remember that there were literally no protective gear. Without the modern gear, you can add another 20 km / hr to the speed Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Link to comment
Raghav_12
Johnson only has highs and lows' date=' no middle.[/quote'] Yes. The way he single handedly had crashed South African party in 2009 (SA tour of Australia), it was expected that he would be there to revive Australian fortunes. But then he went missing completely. That series everybody expected SA to win as it was coming right after SA's victory against Aus in Aus. But Australia won 2-1. Mich was highest wicket taker with 16 @25 and scored 255 @ 85 (Second highest runs from Australia) Link to comment

Without the modern gear, you can add another 20 km / hr to the speed Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk EXCELLENT POST and VIDEO ravi. People here forget all the protection gear for "modern batsmen" of 90s, and esp. 2000s When people like Gavaskar esp in 70s took on Windies monster pacers, at that time the 10 different gear shown in these videos were rare, and gear was not as well built as they are built now. This is why the BEST BATSMEN against pace (Indian batsmen) were people like Gavaskar - even as of today. Amazing how they displayed such calm, composed, great technique even without 5-6 pieces of advanced material, modern protection gear. Link to comment

What relation has bowling speed with protective gear.Another school of thought is protective gear has made batsman take their eye of bouncers as it gives a sense of security . Link to comment
