This selection reminds me of the stories I heard about India's once famous spin bowling quartet. In those days we would apparently select karsan ghavri and amarnath to bowl 1 over each with the new ball and then bring on the spinners straight away Maybe Dhoni is trying to get us back to those times. After all we have ashwin, jaddu, yusuf, raina, kohli, and tiwary...... who needs proper bowlers when you have such a threatening spin attack

That spin quartet was still very good and usually did their job. We complain about pitches. They once won us match in NZ by destroying opposition batting on grassy track in cold winter. If such pitch would be given to our modern day bowlers, they will complain that pitch didn't offer much help.

MSD has lost it as a t20 captain completely. A record of 5 wins and 12 losses against the top sides since the 2007 t20 WC tells you the entire story. Its time for us to have a new t20 captain so that the new guy (Gambhir/Raina/Kohli/Sehwag) gets time before the next year's t20 WC.
