Special Test Bowlers- Ashwin,Ojha and Yadav- why were they not given a GO EARLIER.

Ojha is a Dreaded Spinner on slightly helpful TRACKS and as dhoni said with ashwin ojha and a good pace attack , india can beat anybody inside 4 days on indian spin friendly Tracks. Bhajji has been flopping since last 2.5 years in Tests and had got reduced to restrictive bowler..with sehwag , jadeja and yusuf also outbowling him even in one days when it was as far as wickets are concerned. I am SHOCKED .....how can anybody HIDE a very very special Talent like Ashwin ...to me he will outshine Jadeja and yusuf Pathan as ALL ROUNDER..I believe even rahul sharma is special. Bhajji shud have been dropped at least 1 year b4...I can surely say that Ashwin will still get some wickets in Australia. Umesh outbowled the old timer Ishant and Aarun and its surprising why he was hidden all the time.as on today Umesh is way ahead of Trundler king PK as Umesh is just not a 145K bowler but also a thinking bowler and him taking 9 wickets of so few overs that He has bowled shows the Striking Powers he has. For me Umesh is th best after Zak today as far as Pace bowling is concerned and he shud be persisted with.. I feel had he played ahead of Ishant ..WI wud have scored 350 and not 590 in first innings and he wud have outbowled Aaron ...Aaron did fairly OK - I mean I was expecting him to be faster and I at sometimes thot that he may outbowl Umesh Yadav as I feel he has the capability to be faster than Umesh. So that way Aaron disappointed me personally though I shud say he is also a very special Talent. Ishu was fairly unlucky as he beat the batsmen a lot but failed to get wickets.....only heartening thing was he was PACY....but I wish he shud have got more wickets..I hope he is LUCKIER in australia. Point is U can't ask Ashwin Ojha to sit on BENCH on indian wickets and similarly u can't ask SpEed merchants UMESH VARUN ISHANT to sit on bench in Australia..if Zak his fit then he shud replace ISHU and. Not aaron. PK shud carry Drinks.

Yes PK was outstanding in England, i think he will cause problems in Australia as well. He swings new ball, and Australians can't play swing at all. Zak Umesh PK And PK can bowl longer spells. Also i am not sure if Ashwin can cause troubles in Australia :(

On ausie tracks Ishant or Yadav or even Aaron wud be better bet than playing PK.... PK is more of a new ball bowler only...I have seen him good for first 7 overs and after that his swing become Nil and that's why Ishu yadav and aaron r Complete bowlers as they edge out PK

PK is the swing king but after his first 7 overs ...swing on indian pitches is nearly zero degrees, if pitch conditions don't support his striking powers diminish...as he bowls at 125K which is very Slow to say the least. On Ausie tracks...I wud not go for PK bcos he is the best bowler in first 7 overs and after that he becomes the worst bowler......check his one day record and see all his victims are first spell victims most times he does not complete his second Spell...though he is a cunning bowler..against a fast bowler like Umesh or ishant...a Batsmen can be thrown at the backfoot.... KP used to play him from 16 yards instead of 20 yards nullifying his swing and making a Joke of pk....what do u call a pacer on whom WK can come and Keep close to wickets.

All these 3 guys will be Super fast in Australia..... I expect Umesh to touch 150K consistently and be between 145 to 150 most of the times. I expect ishant to be between 143K to 149K most of the time when he is bowling with Pace. VA may even be 150K for a couple of balls but will probably be between 143K to 149K like ishant and on average may be even slower than Ishu. Umesh and Varun have more Variety and they vary their pace and tricks where as Ishu "s 6 balls of the over wud always be nearly at same pace ...doesn't try a slow ball much...ithough all 3 have genuine bouncers which if used correctly can fetch them wickets. Ishu got KP of a bouncer.

If Varun or yadav play ahead of PK...they will exploit the pitches more bcos those r pacy tracks meant for Pace bowlers and PK isn't a pace bowler..... Australia may play 4 fast bowlers supported by Clarke as spinner.....we shud play 3 genuine speedsters if we wanna win there.....horses for courses..... ZAk umesh n ishant r way to go ..is zak doesn't play then VA.

sorry for double posts still getting used to this :P people ur belief that speed will increase in australia cos of quicker tracks is wrong speed is measured when ball leaves the hand not at speed when it reaches the batsman .. in australia pitches are quick so go figure which speed will increase

Ojha should have been part of Indian team in WI and England. Why Unadkat was preferred over Yadav in SA? :facepalm: It would be a big disappointment if Rahul Sharma doesn't play first few ODIs. India needs a leggie and he is in the team then he should play.

When it came to picking between FAST BOWLER Umesh Yadav and GENTLE TRUNDLER Unadkat, the team management chose the latter in SA. 9 out of 10 Test captains would have gone with a FAST BOWLER

Even in England during the ODIs, when Aaron was in the squad, Dhoni preferred playing the trundlers who were getting hammered left, right and center instead of budding a new talented cricketer. For some odd reason, Dhoni prefers playing slower bowlers.
