'Dilli' is a multiple-award winning documentary that has played in over 50 international film festivals across North America, South America, Africa, Europe and Asia.

Synopsis In this city, a dream is born everyday. Simple dreams. Patient dreams. Millions of people across India leave behind their homes and families, in the hope of finding a better life in Delhi. Completing 100 years as the capital of modern India, Delhi today stands at the crossroads of time. Among the fastest growing cities in the world, this is also the city that is home to India's second largest slum population. As Delhi straddles through its different worlds, Dilli tells the story of this city, as seen through very different eyes. Shot in the heart of this bustling megapolis, Dilli finds its storytellers in the men, women and children who are the invisible hands that continue to build this city of dreams. Directed by: Rintu Thomas and Sushmit Ghosh

Another Oscar :woot: Nothing wrong in drawing attention to the facts though.

LOL, all it takes to win 'multiple awards' at international film festivals is some footage of poor people from a foreign country talking about their situations in a foreign language. its just the kind of garbage that appeals to westerners. just of out curiosity, if i were to walk around the ghettos of los angeles, philadelphia and detroit, filming black ppl selling drugs and living in equally deplorable conditions, talking about how they got shot in their attempt to make a better life for themselves, would i win a few awards?

Yes, Fact is Delhi is full of so called street urchins and slum dwellers.... But government can either let them live in the same state or create a city with facility on those slums which in turn will uplift lives of several hundred millions. So portraying fact without the context looks more like a lie to me.
