mishra Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Weldone.....:two_thumbs_up: Very Good speech. I think thats how a legend should speak... Not like Aussie cricketers..... For Tendulkar Bhakts.. This speech is a gem.. It was what I am expecting For Test cricket loverz.... This speech is a hope. For T20 loverz... You are the ones to open new frontiers in cricket. For ODI .... You guys are saviours of the game... For BCCI.. Wake up call For Cricketers... Be honest to the game first. For Aussies..... We believe ur stories.... Just because stories are great cricketing stories :cantstop:
master22 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 wow dravid is a cricket encyclopedia:hatsoff:
kruiser Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 amazing speech! touched on all that is great about cricket, our ethos, the worldview of Indian cricket vs what we really are, as well as the pain points of cricket ! great summary of where we lack and what we need to do to keep enjoying the great game! If this was a speech in the presidential debate, he woulda won it!!! Superbly paced as well, just like a classic RD innings..
ganeshran Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Awesome speech Especially the part about the flawed cricketing image of India.
Sachinism Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Audio http://www.abc.net.au/news/2011-12-15/dravid-delivers-the-bradman-oration/3731906
yoda Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 One of the things, Bradman said has stayed in my mind. That the finest of athletes had, along with skill, a few more essential qualities: to conduct their life with dignity, with integrity, with courage and modesty. All this he believed, were totally compatible with pride, ambition, determination and competitiveness. Maybe those words should be put up in cricket dressing rooms all over the world. :two_thumbs_up:
zep1706 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Excellent speech, I would like to believe he wrote that speech himself.
