Deja Vu time in Aus - it's Eng tour all over again

PK is yet another useless trundler. Dont get carried away by his 5 wicket haul in England. He got wickets because nobody else could as they were worse than him. Any bowler could have got 5 wickets there if he had bowled enough overs.
Are you trying to justify Vinay Kumar's inclusion or Mithun's inclusion? Not a taunt. Genuinely asking.

Vinay and Mithun wouldn't have.
If Zaheer and Ishant are not fit for the first test, I hope we get rid of them completely. What's with this attitude of declaring themselves fit despite having injuries and then not being able to play the match ? Its very selfish and reeks of lack of professionalism.
We are lucky that Bhajji wasn't picked for the series else he also would have played through his injury. How convenient Bhajji disclosed his injury after he was not picked for the squad, else he would have kept quiet on his injury front. I blame BCCI and its lack of player injury management as we rely on player to rule hmself out. Ideally players should not be making a call on their fitness, a team of physicians/fitness experts should be deciding whether player is fit enough before every seies/tour.

I dont think Vinay Kumar, Mithun, Irfan Pathan and Praveen Kumar have any business being test match bowlers, especially new ball bowlers.

its eerily similar to what happened in england. bowlers getting smashed in the warm up game, followed by the injury fiasco. i wouldnt trust anything that comes out of the indian camp with regard to injuries. the indian cricket team is taking its entire public and media for a ride by dishonestly feeding them the wrong information; they are scared of the panic that would follow and don't want to be unsettled.

Zak is fit per latest news' date=' Ishant is not injured (not officially anyways), why are getting our pants twisted?[/quote'] because the team has a history of lying about injuries and taking players' on their word instead of getting them evaluated by doctors?

Well I hope it's not true. And even if so, we still have two healthy non-trundlers in Aaron and Yadav, which is different from the situation in Eng.

Remember Eng series where everything was "fine" in the warm up or T20 Cups where Sehwag and Zak were "fine" for the tourney.

Somethings never change, i thought the English debacle was an anomaly but looks like we might get to see more of the same against the Aussies. At least the English team was a stronger unit than the Aussies, an embarrassing loss against this Oz team would be very painful.

Our pool of test match bowlers (not including spinners) should be: Zak Yadav Ishant Aaron Sree I don't know what options we have to replace these guys, may be Sir Aggy might get a recall .... but am tired of seeing trundlers bowling in tests. One argument that you often hear is a trundler bowled a long spell, yeah but a spinner would too

Irfan Pathan should be nowhere near the test squad....ODI's and T20's absolutely but in tests,no way.... Same goes for PK....Yes he did good in England but at no pint did he look threatening at all....mark my words he will just be a flash in the pan when it comes to test cricket.... VK and Mithun, the less said the better.... Don't want to sound like dravidthewall but Sreeshanth unfortunately is still the 3rd best bowler in the country after Zak and Yadav and yes he is better than Ishanth in helpful conditions.sad he is injured. RP should never play for India again...Infact Ashish Nehra should be gkicked on his *** and asked to play test matches....he would do better than any other tundler replacement we send.... Don't pull names from RKT India's talent hunt because you need proven experience to perform in the tough conditions of Australia
