rkt.india Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 http://www.telegraphindia.com/1111001/jsp/jharkhand/story_14575450.jsp I don't care about whether Rahul goes for runs or not. I am sure if continues to focus on improving his speeds and fitness, like he said in this article, he will surely be in Indian team in next 2 years. If his start focusing on, compromising on speed for line and length then he will be just like other trundlers which we have lot in domestic cricket. I said all bowlers were thrashed apart from Rahul Shukla who went for 8 an over and took 2 wickets to fall as well while no other bowler went for less than 10 in his side even more experienced Irfan Pathan was carted around.

That's great performance. I hope the videos will be updated soon. P.S.- I feel that we should give more and more hype to Rahul Shukla so that media take notice of that and then he can come in limelight. Then, it will be good 4 him that people are taking notice of him and he should concentrate on speeds more. Given that we have lots of media people in disguise on this forum.

IPL is that kind of platform for him, but before this may play Devdhar and Vijay Hazaare trophy which are also can play an important role for him like they did for Varun Aaron last year. Irfan Pathan went for 13 an over.
saneindian Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Incidentally Rahul Shukla was picked as a 17 year old in the Gatorade Pace contest by TA Sekar, who is now with Mumbai Indians, and who coached Shukla previously at MRF Pace Foundation.
rkt.india Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Incidentally Rahul Shukla was picked as a 17 year old in the Gatorade Pace contest by TA Sekar' date=' who is now with Mumbai Indians, and who coached Shukla previously at MRF Pace Foundation.[/quote'] Yes, I know it. It was me who talked about Rahul Shukla and even Aaron here first . I have been following both them since their beginning. Aaron when he was sent to Laughborough in 2006 if I remember and Rahul Shukla since that Gatorade contest. Once I thought I should take my younger brother in that contest too because he too was bowling good pace, but then dropped the idea. He was too lazy to do the hard work for fast bowling.
Singham Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Awesome news guys. Hoping to c him play for Mumbai Indians. It will be a great platform to showcase his talent. Its very sad that fast bowlers in our country get the limelight only because of IPL.

And you rkt.india, is one particular significant reason why I joined ICF. I used to surf about fast bowlers here and there on internet. :two_thumbs_up:

Sid Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I kept on Reading Rajeev Shukla...... Sorry. Mistake :hysterical:
MCcricket Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I have been watching Ranji quite a bit this year with other domestic footage, one thing that comes to my mind is the poor coaching , Yo Mahesh , PANKAJ SINGH, A MITHUN, 40 % OF DOMESTIC BOWLERS HAVE FLAWS IN THEIR ACTIONS, AND THE ABOVE MENTIONED HAVE SERIOUS FLAWS, YO MAHESH'S ACTION IS SO RAGGED AND FLAWED HE WILL GET INJURED SOON ALSO HIS PACE IS SAD,Ranji cricket is killing domestic talent as simple as that.
panther Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 who are the top 5 0r 10 bowlers in india based on speed only?
express bowling Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 who are the top 5 0r 10 bowlers in india based on speed only? The names are not in order of quickest speeds : Umesh Yadav Ishant Sharma Varun Aaron Rahul Shukla Shami Ahmed Abu Nechim Pawan Suyal also Sudip Tyagi Ashok Dinda Manpreet Gony
MCcricket Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Umesh Yadav, V Aaron, Rahul Shukla these bowlers can bowl in 150's on average easily touch 90 mph, Abu Nechim, Shami Ahmed,Sudeep Tyagi, Dinda , Gony, VRV Singh can bowl between 138 to 146 k regularly,Pawan Suyal, Parmeswaram, Anwar Ahmed also close to that range. For me outstanding talents from this bunch , Anwar Ahmed, Pawan Suyal both are left handers.Shami Ahmed , Parmeswaram,Abu Nechim should be in the frame after one or two Ranji seasons.Sudeep Tyagi, Gony , Dinda should be in the indian test squad, as they have pace, talent, experience .If I have to play a rookie out of sheer potential then Anwar Ahmed, Shami Ahmed, Pawan Suyal, Shukla are the ones.
