MCcricket Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I have seen every bowler in that list bowl, except for Anwar Ahmed, Pawan Suyal, Shukla I have seen alot of speed gun readings for all the above bowlers in Domestic and IPL, As far as Pawan, Shukla, Anwar Ahmed, I have read and heard from multiple reports from trustable sources also it is simple u look at the videos and u can categorize the bowler as fast medium , fast, medium fast.
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 how do you know there speeds? # Some domestic experts knows about Rahul Shukla and Shami Ahmed. They both are quite popular in domestic circles for their speeds. They both have the potential to be genuine fast(bowling consistently around 150) if they stay fit. These names get mentioned in some of the blogs time to time. # Anwar Ahmed is a skillfull bowler from Hyderabad, standing at 6'5, bowls around 135-140. He is new to domestic scene as well. This was his first season. He needs experience. # Manpreet Gony is another quality pacer 6'4, bowls around 135-140 and can hit big sixes as well. But, he is already 28. # Some wild cards are Bhaja from Baroda and Anand Rajan from MP who have good potential and consistently bowls around 135 with out-swing. # There is another youngster from Punjab, 18 year old, 6'3 Brainder Sran. He is a lefty. Just seen him playing in stadium. Little bit of pace and little bit of swing. He took lots of wickets in his first match. Looking forward to see him on tv. # Pradeep Sangwan had lots of potential but he has not developed at all in last 2-3 yrs. He has very good batting abilities too. It seems he is happy with his IPL credentials.
Old guy Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 now people are working hard and many of them trying to bowl fast this is good change! i guess they all saw medium pacers wont make into test team specially not at home :P
rkt.india Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I just watched the videos uploaded of that game and it was a massacre of Reliance One bowling by Gomez and Sony they chased down 192 in 15.2 overs. All bowlers apart from Rahul Shukla went for more than 10 RPO. Irfan was clobbered for 4 sixes and 4-5 fours as well. Rahul Shukla went for just one six and that six was one of the most ridiculous way of going for six you would see. It was his pace which made that to go for six. He bowled around off stump, just outside, good length ball and Sony threw his bat to the ball and it took the top edge and went over keeper's head for a 6. Rahuls Shukla went for 2-3 fours one of them could have been caught by the keeper as well, but the thing was they way Pathan was thrashed by these unknown batsmen.

rkt.india Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Incidentally Rahul Shukla was picked as a 17 year old in the Gatorade Pace contest by TA Sekar' date=' who is now with Mumbai Indians, and who coached Shukla previously at MRF Pace Foundation.[/quote'] TA Sekhar is with Delhi Daredevils, not MI.
saneindian Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 TA Sekhar is with Delhi Daredevils' date=' not MI.[/quote'] Moved to MI 2 seasons ago but has now comeback to DD it seems.
rkt.india Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Moved to MI 2 seasons ago. No just a saw tweet from DelhiDaredevils. We are delighted to have signed up talented cricketers we spotted on the domestic circuit this season: Daredevils Mentor TA Sekar. PS: Irfan Pathan has been thrashed mercilessly here and he is going to play for India in Australia. God save us.
rkt.india Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 i think this guy has future.. i really want to see these guys in ipl hope there teams play them I would like him to bowl some fast bouncers against Indian batsmen in IPL. Indian batsmen usually s struggle against back of a length deliveries and thrives on pitched up deliveries in India. At his pace, he wont be easy meat for them if he bowls bouncers to good effect and mix them up.
Needforspeed Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 No just a saw tweet from DelhiDaredevils. PS: Irfan Pathan has been thrashed mercilessly here and he is going to play for India in Australia. God save us. Really worried about TA Shekar in DD. They have Dinda, Yadav and Aaron (+ Pathan). Having seen the video of Shekar where he says pace is not important and bowlers should only go for line and length. I really hope he doesn't mess around with these guys.
nsareen Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Irfan pathan must be taking it easy, i feel these are smallest of boundaries, a square drive went for a 6, thats ridiculous. The pitch had nothing for quicks at all. Rahul shukla should be in a major team and do well like aaron, only then will he be noticed.

He can also go for RCB or Kings XI Punjab who have shortage of good Indian pacers. He can actually play every match for Kings XI if he joins them, but MI guys may not let him go so easily. Regarding Irfan, no he was not looking like taking it easy. You may be right regarding boundaries at University Ground where this match was played and has seen some high scoring games, but DY Patil Stadium the second venue for the matches have big boundaries. First match was Reliance one was played at DY patil Stadium which was low scoring and this was a University ground which looks to have short boundaries and a belter of a track.
Hell Raiser Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Last year almost at his point of year, we were talking about Aaron and he made it to the Indian team, Now its Rahul shukla. I hope he makes it through to the Indian team soon and we can get rid of trundlers like VK and Mithun.

Regarding Irfan, no he was not looking like taking it easy. i feel shukla should focus on building his core muscles till the time he reaches FAME. He should really be focused on doing that,if i were him i would be striving to have the best core muscles in the world of fast bowling, he has the body, height and natural pace, he should develop as much as he can and the results will be there to see. Once he gets the FAME, if ever he comes to the indian team, he'll not get too much time. regarding irfan, he has never been a fast bowler, he is a pancake for batsman on batsman friendly pitches, not only he any trundler will get that treatment on that pitch. irfan ONLY relies on swing and variations nothing more or less.
ShebbySB Posted January 21, 2012 Author Posted January 21, 2012 The names are not in order of quickest speeds : Umesh Yadav Ishant Sharma Varun Aaron Rahul Shukla Shami Ahmed Abu Nechim Pawan Suyal also Sudip Tyagi Ashok Dinda Manpreet Gony Anwar Ahmed,VRV Singh & Pritam Das.
