kohli will be scapegoat as BCCI selectors will never drop senior batsman...they are taking their positions granted....manoj tiwari is better than kohli and rohit sharma...he should have been there..

It will be unfair to throw away Kohli just after one batting failure . People are shouting chants in favour of Sharma because no1 has seen what he is capable of in the tests and have automotically assumed that he will do better . The truth is all of our current generation batsmen are FTBS , you give chance to a new youngster in the tests and after a couple of matches call for his head . Same will happen with Rohit after a couple of matches and fans would call for another replacement .

Laxman will play all the four matches, unless he gets injured.. but if Gambhir and Kohli fail in 2nd innings and 2nd test too, then Rahane and Rohit might get a call...Gambhir might continue his run, especially if we are trailing in the series after two matches.

If anyone gets dropped, it'll be Kohli (which would be unfair after one game but there you go). No chance of any of the top 5 getting dropped during this series, but if we lose this series then there will probably be changes.

No one needs to be dropped as of now... hope to see rohit in somehow but would want laxman to play until england series next year, score atleast 10000 runs and then get a respected retirement... has been our best off late except in england... needs respect.

Chopping & changing is more likely to happen if we're down after 2 tests. If we're leading, there's no changes happening and if its 1-1, we might see Kohli/Gambhir being replaced.

Guys these players deserve more respect, they are the reason why our team is the best,Zak, Laxman, Sachin, Dravid, Sehwag deserve a lot of respect also DADA who started it all, Fab four can give us atleast 2 to 3 years of service, they are all fit and nothing wrong with their batting , please do not pull them down, Laxman, Dravid, Tendulkar,Sehwag, Zak is the reason why we became number one and from bad travellers to world beaters.

I have an excellent idea. Make Dravid wicket keeper. Replace Dhoni with Rohit. 3 problems solved: Dravid will now be able to catch with bigger bucket gloves Rohit in the team to strengthen batting Dhoni negative captaincy and inept overseas batting no longer an issue. I am only joking of course!

Dravid has to go as he has dropped an all important catch which lost us the game. Lax and Gambo have to go as they failed in both innings Kohli has to go as Sharma is better Dhoni has to go as he is most gutless captain.

Oh the great respected batting line up.... :(( When will the bcci start treating this as a 'professional' sport and stop keeping ancient ppl based on past performances.... If the past 12 months are not enough to discredit these batters then another looming humiliation won't make a difference.

I doubt they'll drop anyone. The team management has shown in the past that they don't like to make changes to the team even when the team is losing badly. India is back to square one. Losing everything away from home and only beating minnows!

Gambhir and Kohli will have another chance at Sydney. They fail here, Rahane and Rohit comein. if VVS continues to fail, let Kohli keep his spot and drop him for the last test. Dhoni's time is running out too. Enough failures from this line up.

Laxman & gambhir are proven performers, dont know why the knee jerk reactions. Also i would persist with kohli in this series before giving sharma a chance. All in all no changes in the series.
