Sachin=GOD Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 old people suck. No one is blaming that they suck. They are just old and suckiness comes with being old. yeah right...........these "old people" (Goddy, Laxman, Dravid) are India's 3 top scorers in Test matches this year. BTW what have the "young people" done lately??
surajmal Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 yeah right...........these "old people" (Goddy, Laxman, Dravid) are India's 3 top scorers in Test matches this year. BTW what have the "young people" done lately?? young people suck even more but atleast there is a chance of improvement. Oldies will only decline.
deathmonger Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Key question is can we recover from this pounding? Once again batting looks in complete disarray. Unless its a typical Sydney track, a comeback looks difficult. that's why the win at MCG was so important. If it's a typical Sydney track and a typical Adelaide track we can win/draw there. But Perth is tentative.
Stuge Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 whats the point of so much of discussion, when our famed batting line up is going to flop like anything, and won't even score 300 runs .
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 yeah right...........these "old people" (Goddy, Laxman, Dravid) are India's 3 top scorers in Test matches this year. BTW what have the "young people" done lately?? poor argument. if u keep playing the same ppl in every single match without trying out other players, those same ppl will have the best stats.
saneindian Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Based on how Lyon has bowled in this test, I expect a feet long grass all over the Sydney track.
Sachin=GOD Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 young people suck even more but atleast there is a chance of improvement. Oldies will only decline. yeah, just like the "young" Yuvraj Singh and Raina "improved" and cemented their place in Test matches over the last 2 years
surajmal Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 yeah' date=' just like the "young" Yuvraj Singh and Raina "improved" and cemented their place in Test matches over the last 2 years[/quote'] that is why i said there is a chance. People have to realize that our domestic setup is completely ruined and it is good for producing FTBs and nothing more. Next decade is gonna be tough unless we find another sachin.
Stuge Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Rohit is must +1 that guy looks in supreme touch these days .
~ Miss Warner ~ Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I'll be at this game for the first 2 days, I can't wait :D Unfortunately it looks like Watson won't be fit, but Id be happy to keep the current team, maybe swap Lyon for Jason Krejza who is bowling awesomely in domestic cricket and knows the SCG well as its his home pitch. Just hope the rain keeps away!
Sachin=GOD Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 poor argument. if u keep playing the same ppl in every single match without trying out other players, those same ppl will have the best stats. Yuvraj and Raina played 37 and 15 Test respectively. Kohli has played a few Test so far but people have already started to realize that he doesn't belong to Test cricket (at least right now) so basically you want the "old" players to retire just for the sake of it. Ganguly retired years ago and we're still debating who should come at no 6 and you want the players who are actually performing to retire :hysterical:
CG Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 We should bat better at sydney as laxman and sachin always score 100's there,But i just hope rohit sharma gets a chance ahead of kohli .It would be our best possible combination .Bowling we need ishant to pitch the ball up and ashwin also the same.
Number Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 stick with oldies till they are 45 as they are our beshht batsmen .. doesn't matter if they can't field can't run.
Old guy Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Now that the first test is as good as lost, let's talk about the next one. First up, the team. Here's what I think the team should look like: Sehwag Rahane Dravid Sachin Laxman R Sharma Dhoni Ashwin Z Khan I Sharma Yadav gambhir one more chance.. unike kohli he proved before that he can play.. rohit in for kohli for sure thats where we lost the game imo
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 err I can see some injuries with Indian players before Sydney.
Aussie-r-best Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Not a bad side but Laxman still in??????? why what has he done. I would have him out and replace with a form batsman from India. Form over name any day. As for Gambhir, he is terrible outside India. He will not get good on fast bouncy pitches - he will not... wait for the flat slow tracks back in india and he will be ok to play
