If Ishant happens to take an lucky early wicket, he transofrms into this great bowler for the rest of the spell, else he just runs in and keeps bowling the same old short and wide dross.

We need either highly skilled bowlers or bowlers who are very lucky - others are useless.

Silva Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Looking at the cricinfos hawk eye it looks like what went wrong for him was he was bowling a bit too wide. Zaheer khan was off target as well. That type of bowling wont work on good batting pitches against good batting line ups. Especially when your bowling medium-fast. Only shami bowled ok. Pandey (and pankaj but he is never getting picked) should have a few chances to see how accurate they can be. No team can afford to have two guys in the line up that depend that heavily on bowling conditions being in their favor.

That must be obvious from his looks. Steyn has the classical wiry and rugged fast bowlers build. He is not heavily built but looks very tough and strong like Marshall.

Steyn must be taller than 5'10" around 6 or 5'11" but yeah he certainly has done a lot of hard work on strengthening which is the reason he could bowl so long at high pace.
