Singham Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Good. Rohit should not be tried in the fastest track in the world. He deserves a better pitch to make his debut.
skindia Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Both are flat track bullies...Jadeja or manoj tiwari should have been there.
Bumper Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 What is the hurry to replace Virus Kohli ? It's only 2-0. Virus is young, energetic and brings the much needed aggro to the field. He is still the 11th best batsman in this team, can given great speeches (remember his tribute to SRT after world cup win ?) and is our future test captain. We should give Virus an extended run, who cares about results!
jhakati Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 wow FTB kohli over the classy rohit sharma. just shows why dhobi is such a poor captain.
Shunya Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 good decision...though rohit sharma should be played for someone else...which we all know would never happen...

vvvslaxman Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I would retain Ashwin and let Kohli go. 5+1+5 is better than 6+1+4. Either way our batting sucks.
maniac Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I would retain Ashwin and let Kohli go. 5+1+5 is better than 6+1+4. Either way our batting sucks. that might still affect the balance with the current 5+4+1+1 Combo with Kohli being the expert fielder in the side.
Sachin_Rulez Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I don't know how many chances we will end up giving to Kohli. Raina had better chance of scoring runs in test cricket than him. Even Ashwin will score more runs. Kohli seems to be extremely lucky to be in the squad. I don't think even Yuvi had got that many chances to play consecutively without scoring much.

vvvslaxman Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Surprising not many bouncers at Kohli. Hope they continue bowl full.
Texan Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Dhoni's favoritism clearly shows in the team selected today. Again persisted with the same top 6, 5 of whom have been responsible for losing 6 away tests in a row. No other team in the world would have persisted with the same batting line-up, especially when you have Rohit and Rahane as backup. His favoritism also showed in how he dropped Ashwin on the first chance he got. His blind love for Harbhajan may end up dismantling Ashwin's career. Dhoni has lost it. Get rid of this guy before he does more damage.
King Tendulkar Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Both Rohit and Virat should have played. They need to be in for at leat 18 months and backed to come good. Take your pick Dravid or Laxy, but axe should have been wielded
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Kohli the highest scorer so far and only comfortable batsman. Rohit shud also been there for Laxman
BeautifulGame Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 The good thing with kohli is looks better and improved with each innings.he certainly looked our best batsman today and looked far more assured than Laxman or Dravid. We should give him a decent run in the side along with other youngster he will soon establish himself as regular like he did in One day cricket.Even in ODIs he took sometime to establish himself.
The Outsider Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Actually, Kohli seems to be the only positive that seems to be coming out of the tour. He has improved with every test. Test batsmen are not created over night, some of the best have had their struggles early in their careers. What's encouraging is how Kohli is willing to learn and adapt. There was one ball yesterday when he went to play the across the line flick to mid wicket, but changed the shot and pushed the ball to mid on with a straight bat. Deserves the entire series.

umairbaig Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 i mean seriously the kohli hype is inexplicable, the guy has absolutely no respect for the game whatsoever and considers himself above the game with no regard to the fact that he is his country's ambassador the likes of sachin and dravid don't get respected just for their batting,it's their conduct as well No player whatsoever and how talented he is should not behave in such a way since it looks ugly rohit sharma is a much decent player than kohli
