Iirc , he did well in some of the ODIs in NZ 2002 where both teams were struggling to cross 200s. Was a class player back then.

Bossbhai, Why are we bringing Lillee into this??? I am not here to say Sehwag is not a good player, but I was just interested to know how he has done in tough away series. The purpose of this thread is not to slander sehwag. If Lillee did not do well in subcontinent or skipped subcontinent matches, then that's a datapoint we need to keep in mind. For sure.

If I remember right, Lillee only toured Pak once and referred to the pitches as the bowlers' graveyard and did not tour Asia again. If I am not mistaken, he was reluctant to tour the subcontinent....Phaacking loser! I rate Mcgrath much higher than Lillee!

adelaide 151 was a flat track as good as SC tracks.

At Melbourne Ponting got 250 and hayden got 136 .It was good batting pitch the first day. 106 at Nottingham ? It was a good pitch again. The rest of our batsman played poorly . It was good enough for England to amass over 600 runs. The innings he played in Sri Lanka were under tougher conditions. But he is the BEST player of spin in the world so he made it look easy.

The 151 at Adelaide, albeit played on a batting paradise, was as good an innings as one could see. Perhaps the most mature innings of Sehwag's career. Alas, that was the last time Sehwag batted with patience outside Asia.

Couple of ODI innings at DAMBULLA last year were also on difficult pitches,where others were dancing against bowlers and Veeru was making the bowlers dance. IMO conditions doesnt matter to him,he can get a duck on flattest of tracks and can get a run a ball 100 on a green track.He needs to rediscover that perfect balance between attack and defence,which made him so great in test cricket even on difficult tracks. Problem recently has been sometimes he is way too aggresive and in the last match he was way too defensive,even to the level of looking like scared of facing phasstt bowling.I dont consider him a FTB,he just needs to go back to what he was doing abroad pre NZ tour 2009.

agree...he might get big one in next game.. injuries havent helped him imo..and india did not toured much outside of sub continent after 2008

Knowing some of our fans , am sure the 201 in Galle dosent count ..but tat has to be one of the toughest pitches to play on for any batsmen .
