Great performence by Kohli. Hopefully he cleans up his act enough to avoid trouble. But he should remain aggressive (sledging, not afraid in general) we need aggressive players like him. We always have humble and modest people which is why we are not no.1 at any sport. I really like Kohli's aggressiveness and mental toughness which he showed in Perth and Adelaide. He will be the future captain if he avoids getting into trouble. Someone needs to kick Dhoni out of the Test team, his defensive tactics and lack of desire to give youngsters chances has brought about our recent downfall.

His innings in Perth must have made him really confident. The great thing is he did it alone, no help from seniors. Raina started with bang, but he had sachin help him in his innings. Pujara also had Sachin to some extent. This guy struggled initially but seems to learn from his mistake. Only thing we still need to find out if he can survive in swinging conditions.

@JPK I meant Rohit Sharma etc. Like this game for example Rohit should definitely have played. We are 3-0 down and Laxman at 37 has little future in him. Im sure Dhoni would have influenced the 11 for this game eventhough he wasnt captain. I agree with Ian Chapel (for once) that our selectors have been very shortsighted. They need to replace these old feckers. In the end Dhoni and fletcher pick the playing XI and they too have been stupid.

His innings at perth was much better than this hundred.As good as it is to get a hundred it was a flat track in adelaide whereas in Perth he really battled through testing conditions for that 75. So in that sense he arrived in Perth itself IMO.

Still long way to go..shown grit,determination,application etc but technique still needs to be strengthened. Greatest plus will be the experience that he gained from being down and out at Sydney to scoring a century in Adelaide...that is priceless (would never get that even after playing 1000 20/20s or even 200 ODIs ).
