mishra Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I see believe Sachin Blame policy brewing up again :O He is at fault even if he didnt play the game :hitler:
saneindian Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Of course, he is. And if he gets his touch back, which he surely will, he will be a better choice to replace MSD as the test captain. In fact had he been in a decent enough nick during the Eng and Aus test series, he could well have been made the t20 skipper after the test debacles.
virufan Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Going by his recent pronouncements to the press that have been interesting, to put it mildly, it seems like Gambhir is being encouraged by certain sections of the BCCI to go for broke for a shot at the next captaincy. Kohli coming good recently may also have spurred his camp. Some of his more interesting comments... "Ÿe should have finished the game in the 48th over. We shouldnÃÕ have taken this game to 50th over. This is my personal observation" - About Dhoni's handling of the end overs. "You don't want names, you want people who can deliver. We have shown it, I think." - Questioning Sachin's place in the team. What do you think? He also told this team was the best possible XI. So he pointing at sachin possibly.
daryl1985 Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 He also told this team was the best possible XI. So he pointing at sachin possibly. He can't be for real. Sachin is much better than Sehwag in these conditions. On current form, the only guys ahead of Sachin are Kohli and Dhoni.
Number Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I think like most of us he was frustrated with the way Dhoni batted. So he honestly said that. Nothing wrong. I also feel he doesn't respect SRT that much.
Magneto Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I see believe Sachin Blame policy brewing up again :O It is okay to get a bit of hate. He's gotten some megatonnes of love all his life, he can do with a bit of hate. Balances out things rather. Why should one man get such a disproportionate amount of affection? No fair. (New inductee in the 'It's always Sachin's fault' club).
The Dark Horse Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 And Dhoni robbed him of his limelight :P may be that's why:hmmm:
mishra Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I think no one is happy with rotation policy.... Specially the ones who had assumed there place as guranteed. TBH we need some policy like this because form based policy can be easily used against a particular player. Gambhir should shutup and wait for his turn.
Old guy Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 He better not be insulting Sachin. wasnt he ur supporter :hmmm:
Andrew Peter Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Maybe he hates SRT for not retiring yet since due to which Gambhir has to sit out after every 2 matches . Now someone whose dreaming about being a captain wouldnt like to be left out after regular intervals. I think his frustration is only due to opening slot competition in the side. In the tests , he was backing VVS ( whose not a threat to his place in the side ) when everyone was against him while takes a dig at a senior in the Odis. Very pathetic and two faced .
gsivak Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I think Gambhir is the kind of guy who speaks from his heart. He doesn't think a lot before he speaks...a lot like Sehwag. Honestly, if this guy was making a play for captaincy, he would definitely not be taking on the 2 biggest names in Indian cricket - Dhoni and Sachin. Besides, I didn't find anything wrong in what he said. Yes, the game should have been finished earlier....the more delay, the higher the chance that you would fail when you are chasing. India lost wickets needlessly in that period. If one of the batsmen had stayed, India would have finished the game earlier. He did not necessarily blame Dhoni for that. The batsmen who got out are more of the culprits. And about Sachin, he hardly plays ODIs nowadays so a xi without him has no excuses for loosing just because he is not playing. Stop the needless conspiracy theories and Sachin worship. Indian cricket is already going to the dogs because of Srinivasan and Co, the paying public need not join in and cause more confusion and disharmony.

Robelinda Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Tendulkar not in India's best XI for ODI.. says Gambhir http://www.foxsports.com.au/cricket/sachin-tendulkar-not-in-india-best-xi-for-one-day-internationals-says-opening-batsman-gautam-gambhir/story-e6frf3g3-1226270678282
CSK Fan Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 That's not exactly what he said. There is already a thread on it
amiret Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 "For me, this was the best playing XI,'' Gambhir said before pointedly adding "it's not about names''. "You don't want names, you want people who can deliver,'' Disgraceful comments from Gambhir. On his worst day , Tendulkar is vastly superior to Gambhir.
J P K Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 utter rubbish from other posters he does not hate sachin he loves sehwag more he does not want to let viru down so he might said that it was the was the best playing XI
