rkt.india Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 A tweet. As is usual in India, they could name a street after #RahulDravid. But then, the Americans have already done it. Wall Street. :hatsoff:
rkt.india Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 https://twitter.com/#!/MahendraDhonI he could've done a short interview too like SRT dont think this is Dhoni;s account, must be fake.
CSK Fanatic Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Dravid did not take Dhoni's name even once in the speech! :(( Jelousy! Dhoni is a superstar, whereas Dravid earned just insults in his career. My driver was actually saying 'good riddance Sir', he was average player with boring batting style, and no attitude on field. Ask any teenager about Dravid, most probabbly they will compare him with moped, at best 100CC motorbike. Dhoni is not just a cricketer, he is a ultimate machine, his fan following is huge, he earns millions each year, he is cool, he is match winner, he didnt backstabed anyone to become the captain. Dravid is a weak character, accept it and move on, we dont need such chaps in team India.
asterix Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Sachin Tendulkar: "I have shared many of my best moments with Rahul in the middle. Our many century partnerships are a testimony to the hours we spent together. For someone who has played 164 test matches and scored 13200 plus runs no tribute can be enough. All I can say is there was, and is, only one Rahul Dravid and there can be no other I will miss him in the dressing room and out in the middle."... Honestly, I'll miss him for the way he played and how he conducted himself..When I think of RD now, I don't think him on the basis of how many test matches he played or how many runs he scored... Gives you an indication that SRT has now completely been brainwashed by the likes of Gavaskar (who always thinks and talks about personal records)..

rkt.india Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 [ Shri Mahendra Singh Dhoni Ji - Enjoy Dhoni while you can. We enjoyed both. Rahul Dravid, India's 3rd best batsman ever after SRT and Gavaskar, arguably world's 2nd best #3 batsman after Sir Don Bradman. MS Dhoni, India's one of the best ODI batsmen, best/WK bat we ever had, and the most successful captain of India. :hatsoff: for both. There is no need to demean any of the two. K..........

maniac Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 :(( Still not real to me.....Indian team will not be the same
Cricket_2_Death Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I still can't believe it! For the past few years I sat hoping that this day would not come despite knowing it was inevitable. Perhaps I simply didn't want to deal with the sadness of seeing him go.
DomainK Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I wish I had words to describe what I feel. So I wont even try. Good luck Rahul. Wish you a very happy post-retirement life.

Nova Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 why does banner say 207 test caps?? It says "Test Cap 207" meaning he is 207th player to play test cricket for India.
rajmarie Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Dravid will be missed. He belongs to the almost lost species of Test cricketer. He was called Wall for a reason. In the last decade....most of the victories overseas was due to him...ie...he played a big part in it. Hats off Dravid. Even in ur retirement...you stays a complete gentleman. Hoping you continue to play couple of years of domestic cricket.....& HOPING that the domestic players can learn something.
vishalvirsingh Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Dravid should have resigned at least 1 year before- I think he was always a bit too slow as a batter and he should have never played any 1 Days at all and should have played less Tests than as much as he played. He was the reason for a lot of DRAWS- sometimes for us and sometimes even turning a Win opportunity into a DRAW- his aim was first to Draw the match which was a defensive mindset. I have seen average fast bowlers turning Dreaded as Dravid showed a preconceived FLAT bat to even a ball which can easily be hit. If Dravid played so many Tests than Aakash Chopra should also have played a lot of tests as for me both were made of similiar wood- even Sanjay Manjrekar should have played a lot - but DID THEY PLAY-They did not as they were not worth it. For me Dravid should have played less Tests
