A disgraceful moment in Indian cricketing history

Kohli has made a habit of scoring epic knocks in (ultimately) worthless matches. :giggle:
Win against Pak is not worthless. Its bigger than winning the cup for many fans.

I have a good feeling that now that Sachin is over his 100th 100, Ind as a team will play better cricket. And I dont want Sachin to play ODIs anymore.

Per our resident expert on brain related conditions:

Fact: Whenever Kohli scores a 100 in pre-final league match, we fail to make it to finals.
I guess, he badly needs a check up or a trip to an asylum :hysterical:

Time we stop pointlessly hyping Paki matches and focus on the tournament results. We came to win the cup and not just beat the Pakis and suck our thumbs.

Guys stick to one or two threads that were already created for this. To fanatics... it is not a coincidence that lot of neutrals feel this way..So don't get your knicker twisted for each and every criticism.
Your use of word fanatics explains how much neutral you are.

According to the same brain-dead expert, the match against BD was "inconsequential" :hysterical:

Tonight.... He should call it a day from ODIs.. Just concentrate on Test matches..
++ Have felt the same for some time now. He should focus on tests and try to produce Bradmanesque consistency at good SR. Way to go Tendlya

I think this whole episode has been quite brilliant when you think about it. There have been occasions that selfishness of players could have been questioned and debated. But very rarely, have I seen it done in so "in your face" manner ? It is like Sachin saying, " Yeah I wanted the 100th 100, So ? " Always thought healthy debate was possible on this issue, but never thought Sachin will put it beyond doubt. As I said earlier, Sachin is only reflection of where we are in terms of mentality as a sporting nation.

Sachin is a temple of hypocrisy. Conceded that he is one of the best of his generation, but that doesn't mean he wastes a position in the line-up for ONE bloody year, chasing a personal record. It is rather fitting that he scored it against Bangladesh And it is even more karmic that for the nth time in his career, he couldn't steer his team to victory. However, I doubt if he even thinks that way anymore.

Yes I am. I can show you enough of my posts praising VVS' date= Dravid, Sehwag, Gambhir in abundance measure. Though I would not have any on Dhoni.

I personally never expected such an innings from Tendulkar, and was surprised by his reaction/media interaction after the game when we had just lost the game to B'desh. There wasn't even a hint of disappointment or regret at losing the game. Sad part is not many find the incident upsetting.
