Needforspeed Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Sachin Tendulkar has scored 49 ODI centuries and 96 ODI 50s. If he scores 1 more 100 and 4 more 50s, he will become the first player in the history of cricket to score 50 100s and 100 50s in ODIs. He has taken 199 wickets in International cricket (154 + 45 ). If he takes one more wicket, he will become the only cricketer in history to have scored more than 33,000 runs and 200 wickets in internationsl cricket. He has scored 33,896 runs in international cricket cricket - He needs another 1104 runs to reach 35,000 runs. Quite a few landmarks...:two_thumbs_up:
Crookbond Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 :idunno: if it's me or is anyone else also waiting for is when we get back the No.1 Test ranking ?

Needforspeed Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 50 100s and 100 50s really sounds good.
DomainK Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Here comes a time he will be breaking some record or else every match. May be record keepers will even miss some.
deathmonger Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Yet he was still scoring and leading a lone battle with breaktaking counter attacking innings. Didn't crumble under pressure and captaincy. Can't say the same for Tindu as much. give examples. i'll give counter examples from tendu's career.
Needforspeed Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 Obsession with records :wall::wall: Everyone is obsessed with records..Why do the Aussies always quote Bradman's record to prove his greatness?

zen Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Everyone is obsessed with records..Why do the Aussies always quote Bradman's record to prove his greatness? For many: A record could be a statement outlining the performance for example 29 100s in 52 tests, a test avg of 100 .... the record outlines performances mostly given for team's cause For many Indians: A record is something you create at the expense of anything. Be it going for 430 odd wkts or slowing down to get an even meaningless personal milestone of 100th 100. Now that's obsession :P

He is on 10 with Slats on 9. One more and he will claim top spot. Don't remind him though, or he may start getting dismissed in 80's :cantstop:
