Magneto
i dont htink there is any specialist short leg fielder in india if ur junior and no body u stand there :P True. But some of them have better techniques than the others. Akash Chopra used to be superb at that position. Pujara is pretty good too, and Rahane tries his best. Cook has developed this new strategy of deliberately hitting the short-leg fielder to take him out of the game completely :whack: India needs to be careful :nervous: Link to comment

vijay50
Time to drop the useless yuvraj singh and play Rahane. When will the selectors learn that yuvraj is not cut out for test cricket even after 35 matches. Link to comment
daindian
That isn't me. I don't know who else would have a name of that but the one on cricketweb certainly is not me. County cricket, along with Australia FC cricket are the best domestic leagues in the world. Well, you think they are rubbish? Overton brothers, Topley and Roland-Jones absolutely obliterated everyone in the U19 world cup. You could say the standard was poor, but they were the standout performers of their age group. We suck at ODI's? We're number one. Whether justifed or not remains to be seen but we're the best ODI side in the world according to the rankings. I'm polluting the site? How so. So its okay to be biased for India, like 95% people here but not for your own country? Idiots like you are not even worth replying to to be perfectly frank. Mate, please do your research Overton and Roland Jones did fk all in the u19 wc!!! Look at the stats!!! The Overton brothers and Roland Jones are nowhere in the last u19 wc list of top bowlers. The only decent England u19 bowler was reece topley Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2 Link to comment

indiaregulator
That regulator guys posts are so long winded and boring they give me a headache..will avoid reading in future Sorry to bore you. I will make my posts pointless, short, sarcastic, funny, spammy and generally irrelevant to cricket just for you. Link to comment
rkt.india
Quicks we've got: Meaker, Woakes, Finn, Topley, Overton brothers, Roland-Jones. FC stats 23 Meaker averages 27.15 with 147 wickets 23 year old Woakes averges 25.05 and has 250 wickets Finn you know all about Reece Topley is just 18 and averages 22.5 with 45 wickets 24 Year old Roland Jones averages 20.78 and has 132 wickets Overton brothers have about 20 FC wickets between them so no point using their stats yet. But yeah, hopefully if the ECB decides ODI's are of little importance we could field these youngsters. I can show as many young fast bowlers in India domestic cricket who have stats as good as these despite plying moslty in unhelpful conditions. Link to comment

Pagalpanti
Worst performance by top order since 2000 For no 2 to no 7 Indian batsmen scored 44 runs which is lowest for India in last 12 years. http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?batting_positionmax1=7;batting_positionmin1=2;batting_positionval1=batting_position;class=1;filter=advanced;groupby=innings;orderby=runs;orderbyad=reverse;qualmin1=6;qualval1=innings;spanmin1=01+jan+2000;spanval1=span;team=6;template=results;type=batting We got bowled out for 70-odd vs Saffers didnt we? And also for 100 vs Eng on the very same ground. Still this stands out as the worst? :giggle: Link to comment
indiaregulator
However, I will agree that stats in FC cricket are not everything. First class cricket in England is rather strange. Graeme Swann averages over 30 which would suggest county players are all masters of spin. :hysterical: Anderson and Broad don't exactly set the world alight when playing for Lancs/Notts but when they play on some pitches in England they brutalize most batsman. Then you've had some absolute crass bowlers like Davies who averages in the low 20's and then you have bowlers like Harmison, Hoggard and Finn who average in the late 20's but who are/were excellent in international cricket. Magneto
Yeah the same system which produced legends like Ealham,Irani,Hollioke bros,Matthew Maynard,Yardy etc.. Outside of Imports, the only half decent player with a proven record you have produced in the last few years is Flintoff who is regarded as a legend lol. The other legend Vaughan has a test average of 41 and a :hysterical: ODI average of 27... Graham Thorpe was good :good: Link to comment
NareshK
Here's another of indiaregulator's posts : Do you guys love England or something? Have I wandered into the wrong forum? Even a lineup comparison Pakistan is by far better. Hafeez > Strauss Strauss has averaged 38 in past year whilst Hafeez has averaged 45 against stronger opposition. Taufeeq = Cook Both very good. Both have scored roughly the same number of runs this year and been about the same effective wise. Azhar Ali = Trott. Both are tukkers and very reliable. In 3-4 years time Ali > Trott but as for now they are equal. YK > KP. No comparison. One is a middle order slogger the other is one of the greatest batsman to ever grace the game. Misbah Ul Haq > Ian Bell. Again, the stats speak for themselves. Asad = Morgan. Akmal = Prior. Both top quality batsman capable of changing the game in an instant. Prior is a better batsman slightly but Akmal is a better keeper. Ajmal > Swann Gul > Anderson Cheema = Broad Riaz > Finn Why is this guy pretending to be English ? Paki loser :hysterical: Link to comment

Crookbond
Nari Contractor, Ted Dexter to be felicitated on opening day of Kolkata Test match http://www.cricketcountry.com/cricket-articles/Nari-Contractor-Ted-Dexter-to-be-felicitated-on-opening-day-of-Kolkata-Test-match/20410 Nari Contractor and Ted Dexter, the oldest surviving former skippers of Indian and English cricket teams, would be taken around the Eden Gardens in golf carts Dec 5 - the opening day of the third cricket Test between the two sides, organisers said Friday. The duo had captained their respective sides in the 1961-62 Dec 30-Jan 4 Eden Test which India won by a whopping 187 runs. "The felicitation will be a commemoration of 80 years of India as a Test playing nation and India-England cricket," said Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) treasurer Biswarup Dey. England had hosted India in 1932 after the then British colony got Test status. The Douglas Jardine-led English team paid the return visit in 1933-34. The CAB would also fete the two captains at the Eden Dec 4. "They will be presented blazers, shawls, ties and silver sticks. We will also hold a still photography show of their cricketing days," Dey said. The function will be attended by some select guests and CAB officials. England and Wales Cricket Board chief Giles Clarke has been invited for the function, which would be attended by former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly and some others. Link to comment
