Vinay is quicker than Mohit is not the question. You said Warrier is quicker which he is not. I did not say Mohit is the quickest. He is not as quick as expected. Rahul Shukla is the fastest uncapped bowler. In Deodhar, Awana rarely put any effort in his bowling and looked listless. Awana and Dinda are the kind of bowlers who need extra effort to bowl 140K. Even Kaul was quicker than Awana in Deodhar, but in IPL, Awana has looked and bowled quicker because he has put conscious effort.

Yes, he was not. You could see that. He was coming back from an injury and no bowler would bowl at his quickest when you come out of a long lay off. If Warrier was that quick, he would have already played for RCB instead Unadkats on that bouncy Chinnaswamy pitch. Sharma is also coming back from an injury. He missed Vijay Hazare and Deodhar due to an injury. Here is what HCA president tweeted.

Nah. both are in similar pace range 130-139. Mohit too can add pace as he has better and strong action then Kaul.
Almost everyone clock much higher speeds in internationals and IPL than Indian domestic matches. Whether it is because of more effort or different speed gun readings,we dont know. Further, pacers mostly bowl quicker in t20s than 5 day games. Kaul bowled 133 k to 141 k in a domestic 5 day match whereas Mohit bowled 127 k to 139 k in IPL t20. From that we can form an opinion that Kaul is quicker. If Mohit is bowling slower now due to an injury then that is a different issue.

I am basing my assessment on one match Kaul played for Delhi and did not look much quicker. Right now, I think both are of similar pace, Kaul is just fractionally quicker on average, but Mohit has a better action to get more pace and good outswing. We will know better once see both of them more and then none of them is going to be really quick. Even if they can bowl 135-140 and move the ball, they can be decent options. Regarding Mohit Sharma, you also need to understand that he is coming back from an injury lay off in which he missed Deodhar, Vijay Hazare and Mushtaq Ali trophy so he will certainly not be at his quickest. I had mentioned the injury factor in my post. Let us watch all these new pacers bowl in the IPL . Only then can we form a comparative opinion about their pace.

Why do you talk like a joker vishalsingh??? That isssaaaannt has played 50 Tests as a dodo bird, and then you watch him in a stupid joke of a tournament called IPL and you suddenly like him and want him for ODIs or Tests!?? Since when is he a good ODI or Test bowler?

Dear fineleg Be optimistic In his tests and ODI"s he has done well for at least 20 percent of his career And its not that he has never faired Well- he is playing Tests On his past reputation like many indian batters are.... Please Note that I am talking about his performance in IPL Yesterday he took 2 Most Important Wickets to ensure hyd Win He is Matching Steyn and all experts are praising him- he has gOt possibly 9 Wickets, he is consistently bowling Fast and fetching Wickets....This is the TRUTH, nobody can Hide it I always disliked him but he is changing for sure, if he bowls 136+ and upto 145 in tests he will fetch wickets..... Not many batsman can face 24 145+ deliveries at a stretch....that's my belief even in tests with wicket taking field placings.....

Ishant is a decent Limited Overs bowler and that's it. His short-of-a-length bowling at 135 clicks is economical and ideal for LOIs. But not for tests. It's not a wicket-taking length. It's incredible that he has played over 50 tests and still doesn't know how to bowl with a proper seam position.

Mohit sharma was under 132K today between 122 to 132K He is slower than VK and BK it seems.... No where near International standards....its just that he is bowling good line n length and no batsman has taken him On.....gambhir and pathan had started hitting him today....
