adi B
it all depends on the bowling line up we play, if yadav, aaron, dinda, zak, ojha, ashwin are selected i think we will do well....if guys like koomars, useless, jadeja are selected nd played, then forget reaching the semis..batting ,i dont think is a problem in lankan pitches..but u never know, many players in our batting line up have the caliber to brainfart Link to comment
1983-2011
if the selectors pick the 15 man squad purely based on IPL5 performances then India will atleast reach semis Link to comment
India-KXIP fan
Sehwag, Rahane, Gambhir, Kohli, Raina, MSD, Jaddu, Ashwin, Rahul Sharma, Zaheer/Yadav, Vinay (Aaron if fit, and bowling phaast) Link to comment
Needforspeed
Rahul Sharma, P.Ojha, Vinay Kumar and Zaheer Khan should be replaced by Amit Mishra, Iqbal Abdulla, Awana and Balaji. Manoj Tiwary should not play. Try to give chances to at least two new batsmen among Umukt Chand, Mandeep Singh, Rayadu etc. Maybe even keep Kohli out. It would be a pleasant surprise if India make it to the Semis even. Link to comment

It would be a pleasant surprise if they don't reach the final, team is strong for SC pitches. Its not a question of giving chance to youngsters. These are guys who have done much better than the 'seniors' in IPL 2012. Among bowlers Rahul Sharma, Zaheer Khan and Vinay Kumar were carted around for a lot of runs. Balaji had the best economy rate among Indian bowlers in IPL. Amit Mishra was the most impressive Indian spinner on show and Awana was also impressive. Dinda and Umesh Yadav too did well overall in the IPL. Link to comment
The Realist
Dhoni's passive captaincy and continued love for trundlers will ensure another early exit - just look back at the last two T20 WCs and the performances have been dreadful. The batting will have to click every game and even that is not likely to be enough when the bowling just bleeds runs. Link to comment
adi B
yeah man, the last 2 times we were annihilated...i dont wanna see such bad exit :nervous: Link to comment

saneindian
Will be very lucky to reach the semis. More than anything, the ego tussle in the team will sink us like it did in the 2009 t20 WC. Also, I see no point in MSD continuing to lead our t20 side any longer. Under him, we failed to go past the 1st round in the last two events. Surely that calls for a change of leader. In fact, except us, most teams will have a new skipper for this event , . England - Collingwood out, Broad in South Africa- Smith out, ABDV in Pakistan- Afridi out, Hafeez in Australia - Clrake out, Watson/Warner/White in Sri Lanka - Sanga out, Mahela in West Indies- Gayel out, Sammy in NZ- Vettori out, Taylor in BD- Shakib out, Mushfiqur in Dhoni is perhaps the only captain in the history to have survived two first round exits in a multi team event (and not to forget two 4-0 test whitewashes). The Realist
Agree that need to start looking beyond Dhoni for the captaincy as he is coming to the end of his captaincy cycle as the list above proves. The T20 format is a great chance to start trying out other potential captains as most other countries seem to do – persisting with Dhoni with his dreadful recent record just seems pointless. The Realist
Intresting facts In addition at the recently finished Euro football championships most coaches who were in charge of teams that underachieved were either sacked or resigned yet there is a certain useless coach by the name of Duncan Fletcher who somehow is still here  Link to comment

Clarke
We hold the premier T20 league in the world that gives 7 weeks of proper exposure to the best of our talent. The Indians (Mumbai or otherwise) shall not only beat other teams but smash them. Defeating teams by 8-10 wickets or 100+ runs shall be normal. What's more, this IPL inspired reign is just starting, Indians shall go from strength to strength because of the amazing reserves. Link to comment
