Ultimate_Game Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Must have been crying for failing to score in the one match that mattered most. Every match mattered.
Sid Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Could have scored some runs though.Failed against both SA and Aus tbh And we lost both.
rkt.india Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Won 4/5 and still out. WI won 3/5 matches and they are in SF.
vvvslaxman Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 CSK guys screwed India badly.. First Mike Hussey and Fauf Duplessis :cantstop:.
Lord Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Could have scored some runs though.Failed against both SA and Aus tbh todays's dismissal was bit unlucky
veer Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I will take 4 wins out of 5 games.. It is not as bad as it sounds.. Compare that to .. WI - 3 wins out of 5 games... and one of them in super over.. SA - 2 wins out of 5.. We got one bad hammering otherwise it was one of the better performances.. It's a 20/20 WC.. luck plays a lot especially if you playing in SL !! Life is good... !!
Crookbond Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Is the WT20 format too harsh? I am not trying to defend India but we did win four out of five games and failed to qualify. For everything which you say, it is quite harsh. Ganguly - Every game should count. India should have carried points from at least England if not Afghanistan. Does not make much sense to me. Pietersen - It is quite bizarre format to be honest. We found Australia and India struggling to qualify. I think it's some time to relook at the WT20 format in this form of the game. On one hand we have West Indies qualifying while on the other hand we have a team who wins four out of five games and not qualifying.
Crookbond Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 As much as it matters to him, he must show this in his batting than on the field.
Executioner Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Bizarre format? why should points be carried forward? I think everything is fair, just that the seeding should not have been their
kruiser Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I think he will be forced to retire after this - perfect time for new guard in whichever way you look at it. No, he will not be. No one in BCCI or Selection committee has guts to touch MSD or SRT.. stuck with them till they decide to step down or MSD loses the next LOI world cup. I would love to be proved wrong!
Ultimate_Game Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Is Fletcher the biggest panauti ever? I mean we won 4 out of 5 games and still couldn't make semis in WT 20:haha: Even in CB series and Asia Cup we were nearly there but couldn't quite make it. Since Fletcher turned up this is a continuous theme.
Crookbond Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Gary Kirsten has lost all Super 8 games with two teams now. :D
kruiser Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 And Zak is also past his sell by date, IMO. at least for limited overs cricket.
Executioner Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I think it was understandable. No way was it possible to restrict a team with 9 batsman to be allout under 120
vvvslaxman Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 People just refuse to accept this... he is not only bad in his profession.. also in fortune as well. Lot of english fans laughed when this choice was made by BCCI. We are reaping rewards for selecting this fat buffoon.
Laaloo Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Won 4/5 and still out. WI won 3/5 matches and they are in SF. They only won one match and 2 more cause of super over
Executioner Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 nope Kohli is the one, CB series...then the asia cup and now WORLD T20 kohli :hehe:
saneindian Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Go back to the first W T20. SA lost their only match in the tournament against us and were knocked out. Also, the format is the same for all teams. If you want to win the tournament, why not go and give your best in all the games.
Crookbond Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Group1 is stacked with all good teams apart from India and Group 2 has all fuddu teams like New Zealand, England and West Indies!
