None of them had played IPL either. Most of the time we found some positive when youngsters were thrown in the deepend like Balaji and Irfan in 2004 test series to Pakistan.

Actually at that time most of the teams did not take T20 seriously ,many captains said that T20 is something they don't take seriously .Also just because rookie team won us world cup we can't send Rookies again and again .

Batting is good enough for T20s, few good big hitters. And bowling of course is the strong point, especially impressed with the way how support bowlers bowled. Generally weaker teams struggle with too many mediocre bowlers trying to fill the overs. But all Afghan bowlers seems to have decent skills to hold it together.. a sign that it's in their genes :winky: Batting will be more exposed in ODIs though. But they won't take much time to become a dangerous T20 side.You didn't say that! :nervous: Where is our resident genetic expert?

vishalvirsingh Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Does INDIAN PACE ATTACK LOOK WEAK in t20 Now Pace Team of an OLD ZAK + a Wily FOXY but Slow Bala Ji + a Swinging Irfan is Looking WEAK. Zak is looking Unfit- he always looked unfit as a fielder but somehow knew how to bowl those aggressive 6 balls and cud easily touch 142k waist high bouncers or even bouncers which pushed the Batsman like anything- I have seen Zak bowling in one days on the Pitch and this Guy has a strong physique and kinda pushes the batsman at the back foot resulting into me and all of us deciding that ZAK is the BEST INDIAN PAcer around and is the genuine leader of the pace attack. But today his fastest balls touch 135K and was bowling between 125k to 136k when he knows he has to bowl just 2 over spell- this is alarming - though i also beleive he was unlucky yseterday when a catch went to second slip instead of first Slip. But it is quite clear that He is going down as a bowler as of today. Bala JI- he is a wily fox but till recently he was not even in the first 6 fast bowlers of INDIA- why?? Bcos he is not a medium pacer ..he is a Slow medium Pacer and he has a Slow Bouncer which is his best ball........i am fearing that good teams would have seen his bowling on video's and would have sorted out a PLAN to kill him............I have faith on the foxy skills of Bala ji but i will be surprised if he manages to suceed in this T 20 world cup as I expect better batsman not to be foxed by Bala Ji. But he did a fair JOB yesterday. Irfan is the best in the 3 as of today- as he was also bowling upto 136k and if irfan bowls higher than 130K it is more than enough as he swings really well. I think the best out of them is DINDA- who can bowl at 140k at his wish and has the fitness to bowl continuosuly at 140k and he is also WILY and foxy now so He should be played at any cost............... I sincerely think that UMESH Or AARON are genuine fast bowlers and We should always Back them - when Good Coaches are Hired they would improve these bowlers. either of them shud have been playing in the eleven - these guys are wicket taking bowlers and some times can change the game .....they can be thrashed as well but its for the captain and coach to guide them and bowl according to the plan. Umesh did fairly well in the New Zealand Tests and clearly out bowled ZAK.........giving a clear indication that he is better then most Fast bowelrs in INDIA.

It like some weird reunion party of when our pace attack was pop gun. p.s I dont call what we have a pace attack. Balaji is worse then crapthan, thats how bad he is. Selectors are a disgrace and pick team in some attempt to create a warm heart felt story
