You, obviously, know little about smoking. Even semi experienced smokers can start to tell the difference between one strain and the other, just like someone would be able to tell the difference between a whiskey or vodka. Also : 1. In states where medical marijuana is legal, it is common to buy through someone who has a license, so that ways you are assured of the strain you are buying. 2. A significant number of dealers are in it for the long run. Just like any other business they have nothing to gain and plenty to lose by cheating the customer.
:canabis::canabis::canabis: OK then , I have to admit, I am not much of a smoker. Here in the US, the peddler was a good friend of ours, so never really questioned him. :cantstop: In India, i never believed a word they said. I wouldn't be surprised if they packed in some Junglee Leaves and said it was pot. Thinking back about it, I would get a 'potlam' for Rs 5/-, come on he surely couldn't be selling me for some real stuff for Rs 5/-. It had to be adulterated.

Dealers in London are mostly clueless as to what the strain is, they'll tell you whatever to sell it. Make's me wonder what route the strain must take to get to me, if the person selling it doesn't know what it is.

I am not a smoker, but I do smoke occasionally (once every 2-3 months maybe..). I quite like the tobacco ‘high’ more than the alcohol ‘high’. But weed is completely new level. It is 10 times the tobacco high, with none of the negative effects of tobacco. Tobacco is brutal, it makes your chest/lungs burn. It hits you with force. Weed is the polar opposite. It takes time to set-in (10-15 mins), but once it does, it is OUT of the world! Everything feels cool – it feels as though the blood is cool, you have distinct cool sensation in your chest, your feet gets cold. I pretty much experienced everything Flamboi listed in post #123 – Lots of giggling (uncontrolled almost. Every joke, even if It is not a joke at all, sounds totally hilarious..). I just kept talking, but weirdly, I couldn’t recollect anything I said 10 secs ago. We called up a buddy to tell him our wonderful this was and how unlucky he was to miss out and apparently, I told him the same thing, thrice, in the space of 5 mins. Yes, you’re on a sensory overdrive. Everything around you slows down, almost to a standstill. You sort of like everyone around you, even people you don’t know. Flamboi couldn’t have been more right about the music part, especially when you listen to through a $350 Bose headphones. You just don’t hear it, you feel it. Its like you’re living the music. I am completely sold. This is now going to be a quarterly affair for me. P.S; If you’re going to try weed (which you must), please, PLEASE, do it responsibly. If you’re doing it outside your home, you MUST have a designated driver, there's no room for a compromise for that This is not like an alcohol/tobacco high. It’s a completely different plane altogether. I could barely hold the joint in my hands (dropped it twice), let alone get behind the wheel of a car. If it is a strong strain that hits you hard and you try to drive after that, you'll be incredibly lucky to not have a horrible crash.

^^Good for you. I need to have new friends who know how to get weed? I don't want to go to a shady guy in some downtown area and ask if he has some stash. How does one go around seeking to buy?

I see your problem. The easiest/most common way is to find someone who does it already (a friend, a friend’s friend or an acquaintance). But if you’re not lucky to have one, I guess you gotto take your chances. A basic google search should help you find the ‘hotspots’ in your area. And weed is a lot more common than you think it is. So its not like you have to deal with drug dons to get hold of some.

There are three stages one goes through depending on the level of hits- 1. Buzz: The first 15 minutes or so, it is like a giddy feeling... newbies may experience headaches. 2. High: It feels like one is floating like a butterfly. Thoughts wander, senses begin to get enhanced. Little things are funny, sometimes uncontrollable laughter. The level of introspection increases and you want to experience the other side of you. Appreciation of the things you like is increased like listening to music, especially psychedelic music. (Refer to my music mix here). 3. Stoned: Having already floated, it's time for deeper slumber with an altered state of consciousness. If you are new to this stage, it is possible to hallucinate on a powerful strain and make up imaginary things, although this is rare. Sex and masturbation is more pleasurable which I like. In short it amplifies everything, makes you more relaxed and just chilled out. Sense of time is often lost. Long term effect is that you could lose a few brain cells if you get addicted. :phehehe:
you are like this :lol2: for no reason . any one has attended a lecture after being high ? I have had some really embarrassing moments ...imagine pissing off your professor & when he makes you stand , while hes giving you gyan..all you do is giggle..you know you are screwd , but its impossible to stop laughing :cantstop: havent seen many getting addicted to weed , the problem is when you move to chemicals .

Awesome Morris :icflove: Just one thing about the driving, I, myself don't really drive much, but I've been in cars with so many different people who are high at the time (on Mary Jane) and never had any issues

Ok so i been dating this girl for a few weeks and turns out she takes stuff for medicinal reasons like migraines etc. She's cool, and at that stage when defences starting to come down. She's going to make some weed cookies for us next weekend so really looking forward to that. I'll be describing my first time high here, stay tuned...

Morris, well done! :two_thumbs_up: Next time you do it, have more fun with it. Try and feel how much control you have. It is amazing how well you can steer the experience (that's because you are basically tripping inside your own head anyways) Looks like you had fun. First time is always fun, second time is much better :winky: I remember my first lol. Never done it before, and I hardly smoke tobacco. I remember being all weird, laughing, paranoid, "I'm floating! I'm floating! No really dude, I AM FLOATING!", and then it faded out but then I brought it back by concentrating on it, and then fade out again and I drove back home giggling. :D That's another thing with weed. No memory loss.

Flamboi, you’d be amazed to know how much my experience matched yours, especially the ones you listed in post #123. And you’re right, the best part about all of this is – you can pretty much steer that ‘high’ period, whichever way you want to. The first time, I pretty much didn’t know what to expect. Next time, I’ll be a lot more aware. :--D

But let me just say one more thing – I know there there’s a bunch of guys here talking casually in blissful terms about how they’ve had wonderful experiences with pot and other stuff. Lets not kid ourselves, these are drugs that we are talking about. Drugs are TERRIBLE and have destroyed many peoples lives. So people shouldn’t take this, in any way whatsoever, as an endorsement or an advertisement for drug use/abuse. When I say you should try smoking pot, it is merely for the sake experiencing the pot ‘high’ and how different it is, as opposed to the alcohol ‘high’ or the tobacco ‘high’. You should try this, only if you’re capable of doing it responsibly, i.e, If you intend on doint it occasionally and not every alternate day or having a designated driver when you do it outside your home etc. Most importantly, don’t forget that if you’re caught smoking pot by a cop, in most states in the US, it is a misdemenour charge that could get you jailed overnight, plus a fine. So don’t be parading in front a cop car with the joint in your hand (though 99% of the cops don’t enforce the rule since they have a lot more serious crimes to tackle than some random dude with a joint in his hand..)

I've had enough of my mum constantly telling me to stop smoking, so this year I've made an effort to drastically cut down. So far, so good. oh sweet mary jane, how I miss thee
