Sehwag Gambhir Pujara Sachin not a bad front 4 for the NZ series in August but Rohit also needs to come into the Test setup soon if he's going to take over from Laxman who wont last too long

Pujara has knack of piling up big scores in first class. Hope he doesn't take too much time to do the same at the international level. Rohit is always a shot away from brainfart. They lack one thing or the other.

Ideally India should look at an alternative opener in place of sehwag, cause we need to groom a youngster for the away test series in the future. The way sehwag played in England and later Australia doesn't justify his inclusion in the test squad for the upcoming series, although its in India, where he is bound to notch up a few good scores. We must look at the bigger picture and maybe groom someone like Rahane or even Mukund for that matter. He did play decently in England and although he needs to iron out his technique a bit, he does look capable for the job

not every can be so good in transformin themselves from domestic to international level like dravid or ganguly we have to stay positive cos players taking some time to adapt doesn mean they cant be good...sehwag did took sometime but he has turned out to be one of the dangerous batsmen

I am never going to expect Viru.. It is hard to do what he has done by anybody. He is gifted. I am talking about guys who rise through the ranks and continue their good even at the international level. Ofcourse when Ganguly was selected there was overwhelming disapprovals. He proved everyone wrong. Pujara, Rahane are two of the most hyped batsmen to take over the Laxman and Dravid places. I expect them to stand out from the pack atleast at this level.

He did play decently in England and although he needs to iron out his technique a bit, he does look capable for the job[/quote'] Sehwag will always be an anomaly in Test cricket He plays Test cricket like one would play a T20 game but still averages 50 Changing too much too quickly is never ideal, right now we have to replace Dravid first and Pujara looks like the best bet right now.
