Does South Africa have the best bowling attack in the world?

They've 3 genuine topclass fast bowlers in Steyn,Morkel & Lange. Then they've Philander who is exquisite in terms of line & length. They also have 2 good left arm seamer in Parnell & Tsotsobe.Prnell is sharp where Tsotsobe is very clever & accurate. Spin bowling is the only weak link for them stull they've got Tahir,Botha & Harris who're not world class but good enough to back up that mighty pace attack.

I think Steyn, Morkel and Philander make an excellent combo, especially Morkel showing goods signs in recent NZ Tests. But if Finn plays, then Anderson, Broad, Finn are right up there. But becoz of Swann, I rate England's bowling unit better than South Africa.

They always had the best team. even today they have good quality fast bowlers and even spinners( Botha). But they always have choked.

South Africa has better fast bowlers, not much difference between two sides but Still SA is marginally ahead. But Inclusion of Swann in overall bowling attack makes it just in favour of England.

Best pace attack , overall England is better . btw SA will get raped in England , most of their bats have not technique to play swing bowling.
:agree: batting wise England is better in seam-swing conditions.

Why is Dale Steyn not hitting 150 kph these days? Agreed his main strength is swing, but he always unleashed that surprising skiddy bouncer at 150 - 152 kph speed which scares a batter and disturbs his concentration. His bowling today was pretty one dimensional like Sreesanth. Maybe very undercooked, since SA rarely plays Tests.

I plead you to not bring another DTW thread here.

Dale probably saving them for rainydays. Why try out those over pumped deliveries and risk indulging getting injury in a unlimited over match! Have some patience, you find them comming when its absolutely necessary. For now its just English show, which evreyone likes to see. Open up can of beer, sit back and enjoy the test match. :)

Okay back to the topic' date=' why has Steyn toned down his pace? [b']Is he doing it on purpose or lost it?
He hasn't lost pace, the wicket is not really quick. Wait for the end of the series to make a judgment call.
