Mural Vijay has class, not too consistent though, he would definitely be in my book a future tests player, he has good technique, strokes all over the ground, can play fast bowlers and spinners.

His problem is not pace.. But when the ball begins to deck away on a good length he just prods at it. Otherwise he is good to watch. Not a cowlasher by any means. No ugly follow through or backlift or ugly wind ups. To be ho nest not a single test opener in India gives me confidence in OZ and England.

i think he lacks a bit of confidence in international level, in IPL most of the time he come out very confident. We will see if he is able to keep his new found form, he will get one more chance and that too in his home ground.

Same talent, same elegance, same frustrating inconsistency. Regardless, it was great to see him do well. I don't care who does well these matches as long as it is Indian players who are making the most significant contributions. I can't enjoy a Gayle knock or a Narine spell as much as I enjoyed MV's blinder or Chadila's hat-trick. Here's to an Indian-player dominated final! :isalute:

Look at the bowlers he scored of apart from Aaron who had the most horrible day of his life he mademerry on piechuckers in sehwag and sunny gupta.

He is 21st century avatar of VVS Laxman, same Hyderabadi elegance and class. His strokeplay reminds me of Mark Waugh, his presence on field sends shivers down bolwers spine. Very unfortunate player though, ignored by selectors.

He is an IPL bully like Nohit. But Nohit choked. He didn't that is the difference.
Yes, there is a big difference in Rohit Sharma's IPL and Intl performance but still he is much better player at intl level than Vijay.

Yes' date=' there is a big difference in Rohit Sharma's IPL and Intl performance but still he is much better player at intl level than Vijay.[/quote'] err. Vijay got a test 100 as well. Nohit plays one good innings every 10 or 15 matches. Vijay hasn't got that many chances in ODis. I agree he doesn't deserve it. But to be fair if you had given same number of matches to M vijay he would have scratched around and had the same record as Rohit. So both are poor. T

Rohit hasn't made Test debut. So we can't compare them in that format. Rohit in his first series in Australia played well, where not even our established batsmen do well. Because of that he kept getting chances in ODIs. Where as Murali Vijay has one nothing to get a chance in first 15 games he has played. After World Cup snub, I believe Rohit's game has improved. Also his T20 stats are much better. After Raina,Dhoni, Yuvraj and Gambhir our 5th best T20 batsman. On the other hand VJ has done nothing even there.. highest score of 40 against Afganistan and that too when he opens.

So now performing once in a blue moon in a domestic T20 leaue is synonymous with "sending shivers down bowlers spine" as if the guy is Viv Richards. And you actually think a one-off performance in a T20 tourney (once in 16 or so games) deserves a place in the national team when there are plenty of players who have performed much better at domestic level? I guess all I can say is that your screen/user name is quite apt.
