It should be clear by now that the agenda is not only Modi. But firstly anything associated with Modi. The latest to that big list is KPS Gill and Lata Mangeshkar. Already been ridiculed and questioned greatly. Idea is simple, spread such a fear so they are silenced and the status quo of rule & divide is maintained. Although, as I have said since Day 1, the issue is and has never been Modi. But anyone in the opposition. Congress knows now they have nothing to offer especially ruling the country for 60 years, no development, no vision, no strategy so they know they can only remain in power by spreading fear that the opposition is out to eliminate people. And unfortunately, many buy this argument as victimization sells strongly.

Senile & aging cuckoo endorses Namo

It seems like the polarising stature of Narendra Modi is indeed true. When legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar endorsed the NDA prime ministerial candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls on Friday, thousands criticised her for supporting Modi while many stood by her on social media. "Narendrabhai is like my brother. All of us want to see him become the Prime Minister. On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, I hope our wishes would come true," the melody queen said, when Modi inaugurated a new hospital complex named after her late father Deenanath Mangeshkar in Pune, To this, Congress spokesperson Digvijaya Singh reacted saying, "Lata Mangeshkar is our Indian Icon and she is entitled to her Political Views. We all love her songs." However, her statement instantly evoked strong reactions from followers of both - Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party

Funny when Amartya Sen & his ilk oppose Modi' date=' the congress is fine with their individual views.. and when Lata endorses Modi, she is communal & what not.. [b']and people call Congress liberal :hysterical:
That's part of the agenda. Scare people to remain silence or just accept the Congress's version of the world. 12 years of propaganda based on spreading 1000s of lies and thus those are now perceived as facts despite courts, evidence completely disagreeing with them. This is neither democracy nor secularism. This is hatred, fear propaganda and vote bank politics.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has admitted that the influence of Bharatiya Janata Party Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi cannot be ignored. He, however, said that the term 'Modi wave' is an exaggeration. "As far as Modi wave is concerned, it is a bit of an exaggeration also. It would be wrong on our part to deny any influence of Modi in the election, but I wouldn't go as far as saying there is a wave," Omar said. "There is an effect of Modi and that effect may not be so much on the average voter, but it is visible on the cadre of the BJP," he added. "The effect that it has on the election, we have to wait and see," Omar said.

Congress training Spin-doctors
Concerns are being raised in the Congress about the party being forced to confine its electoral game plan to countering NDA-BJP icon Narendra Modi. Some top Congress leaders feel the party seems to be caught in a 'Modi trap' from which it is getting 'extremely difficult' to break out. The Congress is also in the process of changing its television panelists. It is learnt that the party had hired private agencies to assess the performance of its existing panelists. The “feedback was terrible and there is a desperate need to rejig the list of panelists,” sources revealed. Fingers were also being pointed at the move to field 'failed leaders' from Gujarat to counter Modi, the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate. Most of these Gujarat leaders being fielded to counter Modi have been failures in their home state. The Congress’ electoral campaign, a section of spin doctors felt, was failing to publicise the achievements of the UPA-2 government. For them, the Congress has become a party which is only 'reacting to the BJP'. It was pointed out that after Modi was officially named the NDA’s PM candidate, all the electoral debates have mostly been 'Modi-centric'. A senior party leader said: “In the process we are losing the plot.” There have been no major efforts to go full steam ahead on issues like the food security bill, land acquisition bill, the rise in agriculture credit and increase in FDI, among others. These leaders observed that the BJP has, in a well-calibrated manner, managed to keep the electoral politics revolving around Mr Modi. “Parties and individuals are either condemning him or praising him... it seems that the only issue in this election is Modi and nothing else,” a leader felt. The Congress is also worried about the 'poor performance' of its television panelists. The party has selected 200 party functionaries, of whom 20-25 have been shortlisted. These speakers are being trained and are expected to replace the existing panelists, sources said.

US brokerage Goldman Sachs on Tuesday upgraded its overall view on domestic equities, citing optimism over possible political change led by Narendra Modi. "Optimism over (possible) political change, led by BJP's prime ministerial candidate (Narendra) Modi is dominating economic concerns," Goldman said in a note "We revise our end-2014 target for Nifty to 6,900 points, which implies a 9 per cent upside from the current levels and a 14.5 times forward price to earning ratio,"

The US would be willing to work with BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, if the party is voted to power in the next general elections, senior Obama administration officials here have said asserting that the enduring bilateral relationship is to continue irrespective of the poll results. "We will work with the leader of the world's largest democracy. There is no question about that," a senior US official yesterday said when asked about the prospects of working with an Indian Government led by BJP's PM nominee Narendra Modi. Dismissing visa as a non-issue, the official said it was largely a creation of the Indian media and not at all an issue in the US Government. "Visa issue is a media creation. He has to apply and we will review. He (Modi) has not applied (for a visa)," said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. "You said you have very strong relationship with Prime Minister Singh. If Modi become the Prime Minister next year, would that be problematic for the United States?" the official was asked. "I think that the United States had a very strong relationship with the previous Indian government when it was under BJP leadership," the US official said. "I think the relationship between the United States and India is an enduring one, it is a bipartisan in the United States, irrespective of who is in office. And we believe that (in a) multiparty (system) in India that it is supported by all political parties, we expect that relationship to continue," the official said. According to another US official "there is not a lot of angst about him (Modi)" in the US Government, but it is believed that the Administration has decided to maintain the status quo on this issue for the very reason that it might be seen as an interference in the internal domestic polity of India. Any change in the status quo, might be used as political parties to politicise the issue ahead of the elections, sources said, adding that the US would be working with any leader who is elected as the Prime Minister of India after the next years general elections.
