diga Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Rahul puts out media management guidelines: - Don't speak out of turn on Modi: Rahul to partymen - No personal attacks on Modi: Rahul Gandhi - Prior permission needed to appear in chat shows With an eye on the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday reportedly set up media management guidelines for party spokespersons. Source said Rahul told the party spokespersons that they should not speak out of turn on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi. The Congress Vice President said that only designated spokespersons will speak on Modi, sources said, while adding that the spokespersons have been asked not to make personal attacks on the Gujarat Chief Minister but to target only his development model. Rahul also allegedly told the party leaders that prior permission will be required by party spokespersons to go for television chat shows. He also made it clear that an internal inquiry will be ordered if a spokesperson speaks out of turn or against the party line, sources said. You raise issues, which build pressure on the government. Issues like why the Assembly session in Gujarat was called only for one day. Raise issues of public welfare," he had reportedly told the leaders in the meeting. Rahul had also asked them to propagate the success of public welfare programmes done by the Centre. He had also discussed with the leaders the various anti-government programmes by the party to be launched in the next three months at the district and block level. Sources had said that the strategy is to target the BJP government there on 'flaws in policy' more than the personality.

1983-2011 Posted August 1, 2013 Author Posted August 1, 2013 why did telangana state require Sonia Gandhi's approval? :dontknow: The resolution was unanimously passed by Congress Working Committee, consisting of fifteen members elected from the All India Congress Committee and headed by the Working President who bounds to be Sonia Gandhi. FYI, Sonia Gandhi is an elected Member of Parliament, President of the Indian National Congress and a Chairperson of the United Progressive Alliance who are currently in power so obviously she has a say in these matters.

Crookbond Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Coal scam: Narendra Modi lobbied for KSK http://www.firstpost.com/business/coal-scam-narendra-modi-lobbied-for-ksk-shinde-for-lanco-992885.html Modi lobbied for KSK Energy’s project in Chhattisgarh, KSK Mahanadi Power, and state-owned Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation. Of this, it is the KSK project that is likely to turn out to be damning for Modi because of the controversies surrounding the company. According to a report in the Times of India in 2012, KSK Energy Ventures was also linked to controversial DMK leader S Jagathrakshakan, a former minister in the UPA government. It has been alleged Jagathrakshakan’s company JR Power Gen Pvt Ltd was just five-day-old when it entered into a pact with the Puducherry Industrial Promotion Development and Investment Corporation to apply for coal block. Within months after it got a coal block, JR Power sold 51 percent stake to KSK Energy, it has been alleged. KSK Energy has, however, denied any wrong doing and said the stake was not bought from the existing holders but through fresh subscription. Modi lobbied for allocating coal to KSK Mahanadi because his state was supposed to get electricity from the project, says today’s ET report. The Guajrat chief minister has written two letters to the prime minister to get coal blocks allocated to KSK Mahanadi and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation.

adi B Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 you are the one who wrote "approval " so dont know what ur giggling about:facepalm: i quoted what the news channel stated and that ashirwad comment was sardonic for congress dopes like u
1983-2011 Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 Why's that :hmmm: She became President of the Indian National Congress in 1998 when NDA came to power and under her leadership, INC has come back to power 2004 and 2009. United Progressive Alliance was formed after the 2004 general election and as the INC had the most seats and she was already its President, it was obvious that she would become the UPA's Chairperson.
Clarke Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 She became President of the Indian National Congress in 1998 when NDA came to power and under her leadership' date= INC has come back to power 2004 and 2009. Why's that ? She literally brought a lot on the table by means by means of her previous experience ?
1983-2011 Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 Why's that ? She literally brought a lot on the table by means by means of her previous experience ? :dontknow:but INC did come back to power in 2004 and will be completing its second term in 2014 so it has worked and I dont see any INC MPs complaining with her being the INC president

Your initial point was about RSS being a nobody but you're fine if another nobody can somehow win elections for INC.

Your initial point was about RSS being a nobody but you're fine if another nobody can somehow win elections for INC. but RSS are not a political organisation (as they claim to be) so how would they come to power and I support congress so why would I support BJP even if they come to power? My point was that Sonia is an elected MP and holds important positions in INC and UPA and INC has done well under her leadership as shown by 2004 and 2009 results. Sonia Gandhi's husband was a Prime Minister of India, her mother in law had also been PM of India so she was known in INC circles. It was not as if she landed in new delhi from italy and took the charge of INC, infact she had been an indian citizen for 15 years by the time she took an official role in INC
