More you are in power, more you become corrupt because of power. Its happens to best of the best. I think Modi should not run for CM and probably groom his successor. G_B_ Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 the congress is slowly getting wiped out in many states WB and TN were always issues. You can add Bihar to the list of states where they are a non entity. Seemandhra and UP must be added to that list if they fail to improve much in the coming 10 years. Uttar Pradesh especially. Last time they formed government was 1988. Their electoral performance in the lok sabha is just about acceptable. If you take out anomalies of 2009 and 2014 they have polled about 10 seats on average in the state. So the list of states where the congress are not even the premier opposition party and a non entity is adding up. Wont be surprised if the congress do end up like the BJP and have big sections of the country where they hardly have a presence.

They need to counter Modi via the development plank. Which means sitting down and coming together with an economic plan. The era of secular and subsidies is over.
