This was the ideal answer - diplomatic one. But Gauti is not known for that - he speaks what is in his mind. There is no doubt that the team is divided - Dhoni, Gauti and Sehwag ( and who knows how many more) all competing for captaincy. May be the huge losses are partly due to this?

At the moment gambhir struggles to justify himself as a part of the playing 11, captaincy is least of his bothers. The guy is a weak link as a fielder, he gets around to the ball ok but has a poor throw. He is never to be seen at slip or point or for that matter anywhere else other than close to the ropes!! As a batsman he is struggling with both form and technique. He will fail against England and everyone knows this. Gambhirs days are numbered and his statements are more out of desperation than anything else. Top order failures ensured we had a poor batting start in almost all the recent tests we played. The previous selectors let the issue continue but I am hoping that at least now sense prevails and this useless tool is kicked out till he sorts his batting.
