At international level pace is a requirement a bowler should be able to touch 140 plus but that does not mean he will be lethal just with pace alone, swing, seam, ability to bowl in right channels, you could bowl 150 and be taken for runs with full deliveries to be driven, or wider balls to be cut. Sreesanth lacks fitness in body and discipline as far as his game and maturity, not in skills, Agarakar was a mediocre bowler who got wickets as unforced error by batsmen as he was a buffet bowler who released the pressure when Srinath or Zak on the other end bowled well mostly, not by bowling in a channel or getting a very good delivery, basically he was cannon fodder. Gough was good, Fidel lacks the maturity but can bowl some good spells but not consistently which is where Steyn is lethal on any given day he has the intelligence to bowl the right pace , length, seam or swing and make most of the conditions that is where he is superior his control and intelligence. Heath Streak and Eddo Brandes were pretty good coming from Zimbabwe and being non professional cricketers for most of their careers, Olonga had pace and made Sachin hop around in a few games but injury hampered his game,Personally for me guys like Steyn, Fannie, Marshal, Zak, Hilfy, Imran, Waseem are the bowlers who are the most valuable because they were skillful and had the pace as well although not express but enough pace and skills to be relentless on any track.
