Lol people have short memories. He may be rubbish now but RP singh was along with yuvi our best player in T20 world cup. I have never seen an Indian bowler bowl so great at the death overs likeRP did during the world cup. Not even zaheer at his best comes close. His decline is a real shame

What can we do when he himself does not look to have desire to play for India? and then he was not that good, just good enough in a bowling combination and on previous abroad tours more than bowling, it was our batting. Our bowlers never had great stats even abroad, but what they were just doing enough to compliment efforts of our batsmen. Our bowling was never strong, but batsmen rarely scored 300 runs in an innings on these tours. In Australia, they struggled to cross even 200 several times.

He was good in England in 2007(with Zak) and in Oz, atleast at Sydney and Perth he was the leader of the pack. He had shown signs of improvement then but then lost it completely. Atleast Pathan is good in that respect that inspite of being the apple of the eye at one point and being sent off midway from a tour, his desire has not waned.

He was still averaging in 30s. He was never consistent, used to bowl a lot of 4 balls, but he had that wicket taking delivery now and then very much like Umesh Yadav who too bowls a lot of boundary balls. Well said. Lot of people don't give Yuvi & Gambo the credit they deserve. Yuvi was our MVP in 2 World Cups and Gambo was top scorer in both the finals we won. That's special :hatsoff: Along with Dhoni these two have been our MVPs over the last 5-6 years.

In both wc yuvi was our star playa and gauti performed exceptionally well in the finals.

Irfan needs to bowl a bit quicker to be a good bowler in all conditions, his swing , action, rhythm seems good, he seems to actually get more seam , swing, zip of the track with this action ,but his pace is down by 5 k's. To be a test class bowler Irfan needs to bowl between 133 to 143 k's, also needs to seam the occasional ball away from the right hander of the track that will be hard for batters to deal with as he bring the ball in pretty well. A good coach, support from his capt and selectors, and work a bit on his bowling he can be a world class all rounder, as a batter he plays as good as any one in our team against pace on fast tracks, and pulls, hooks pretty well. This guys in only 27 and can serve India for a long time, a fighter, good team man, gives 100 %, I believe under supportive capt and selectors we could have a long term player who can play in all three formats.
