Crookbond Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 A record beckons for Ashwin If Ashwin takes another wicket he will be one of the fastest bowlers to reach 50 wickets in Test cricket. In the modern era, only Vernon Philander would have matched his feat. No code has to be inserted here.
Lord Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 only one wicket remaining.should bowl first thing in the morning
Number Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Fastest to get first 49 wickets. That's a record too. Congrats. :two_thumbs_up:
CSK Fan Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Great pitch, its only day 3, we are almost in the 4th innings. Win for either team possible

rkt.india Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 it's a very good pitch. something in it for fast bowlers' date=' something for the batsmen and now the spinners will come into play. ideal test wicket.[/quote'] Poor batting from batsmen and good bowling from bowlers both sides.
Texy Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 India can easily chase down 260....I have full trust in our batting line up
Pagalpanti Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 If we have another flop show from Gambhir and Sachin it might get tougher but anything >280 should be walk in the park for India with so much time left. The pitch is not assisting pacers much now and NZ dont have half decent spinner.

Sehwag1830 Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 If India can't chase 250 on a 4th day track at home against NZ, then we should stop playing test cricket.
Number Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 260. I'm counting on SRT. He has been good in the 4th innings chases recently. Also good chance for him to get some runs along with confidence.
prasadiyer Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Anything over 250 is going to be almost impossible to chase. This is how our downfall started last year at the MCG. We needed less than 300, and I thought we will at least make it interesting. I know NZ bowling << Australia bowling, but the capitulation at the MCG wasn't just because of the bowling, it was also due to the mental pressure.

We chased 276 with comfort against WI.
