where did bose meet hitler
Subhash Chandra Bose was in Germany to get more support and just raise the awareness of British Atrocities in India. I believe this was right after Hiitler's book "Mein Kampf." Bose told hitler something along the lines of " I am not interested in this war." Bose wanted hitler to give them the Indian soldiers that were captured during the war which essentially he did.

The original picture of Jhansi ki Rani Laxmi Bai. This picture was been taken by the German photographer Hoffman 160 years ago. rearphotographs2page01i.jpg
Laxmi bai is very intriguing person of British era. I still find it hard to believe how she managed to fight against British rule considering that she was born in highly male dominated society. Freedom for women was much lesser then. Even if we ignore that, she had to command her army after his husband's death and she was just 19 years old then. When first war of independence started she was 22 years old and died at 23. There is uncertainty about dates and year, but still it sound like one hell of tough situation for her.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/3684288.stm Hitler's secret Indian army _40103902_legionaries-203.jpg Bose, who had been arrested 11 times by the British in India, had fled the Raj with one mission in mind. That was to seek Hitler's help in pushing the British out of India When the Indian revolutionary met Hitler in May 1942 his suspicions were confirmed, and he came to believe that the Nazi leader was more interested in using his men to win propaganda victories than military ones.
