PaceAttack Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Sachin, Sehwag, Gautam will score centuries...I have a feeling this is going to a very boooooring series. Only exciting thing about this series is that we can see the young guns Virat, and Pujara's playing test cricket. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Ohh. I forgot, We can see Ishant's bowling after a long time... Good luck.. Ishu.
1983-2011 Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 nil-nil, it'll be named "run banao aur team mein apni jaga majboot karo" series
BERGKAMP Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 forget sehwag, gambhir, tendu. our powder puff bowlers will hand many centuries to the likes of guptill, williamson, watling etc. we are as bad a test team as NZ these days sadly.
Trichromatic Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Depends on your expectations and pitches. I never underestimate Indian cricket team to do unbelievable stuff.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 We have 3 youngsters in the middle order to look forward to. How can that be boring :dontknow:
bajrang Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 We have 3 youngsters in the middle order to look forward to. How can that be boring :dontknow: copy that!! last time wicket were flat, this time pressure on curators is immense to make sporting pitches . it should be exciting.
Trichromatic Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 copy that!! last time wicket were flat' date=' [b']this time pressure on curators is immense to make sporting pitches . it should be exciting. What gives the impression that curators are under immense pressure to create sporting pitches? :dontknow: Is it because everyone on ICF is demanding turning tracks?
Mariyam Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 whats the fuss all about, all test series are boring :dontknow:
SLICKR392 Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Am happy to see us face anyone other than those Loins.
Crookbond Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 It seems there is a very poor turn out for tickets at Hyderabad following Laman's retirement. Can't argue against that. VVS Laxman has hit the BCCI at the right place.
Executioner Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Ill be suprised if there is a result in any of the matches. india will bat 150 overs in first innings, NZ will bat 120-130. Match will be boring and dull. If Indian players play aggressively and score at a RR of 4 then its possible. Sehwag needs to play his usual self
kubrickian Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Most international cricket nowadays is boring and dull. We just had yet another ODI series against Sri Lanka and now following it up with a 2 test series against a weak NZ side. Gee, that's very exciting.(sarcasm for people who dont get it) And some people wonder why stadiums are empty for tests and IPL is getting more popular. I have to say IPL looks infinitely more entertaining than more boring ODIs and Tests where teams look like they are under obligation for playing.
SLICKR392 Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 /\ Disagree that. I, honestly, can't wait for the Test series to start. Doesn't matter who we are up against its always good to watch some test cricket.
bajrang Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 What gives the impression that curators are under immense pressure to create sporting pitches? :dontknow: Is it because everyone on ICF is demanding turning tracks? if you followed the last home series against west indies, every curator said his pitch is good for test cricket and will yield result. and they almost did barring last match which nearly ended with result. third test match curator was flanked by the media when on the end of the fourth day when it seemed to be going for a draw. but on the fifth day when near win or defeat was avoided dude was beating his chest.
Old guy Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Centuries from Pujara and kohli. and fiffer for umesh... well we can always dream :cantstop:
India-KXIP fan Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 It won't be boring trust me. Viru will tear Kiwi's to shreads. There has never been one as destructive on Asian pitches. We will see a 150 ball 200. If Gambhir and Sehwag return to form we will probably win all 3 series'. Also Umesh Yadav and Pujara will perform.
Pagalpanti Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 There is some excitement for this series because this is the first after Aus debacle. And also we can see how the new guys perform. Other than that not really excited about any personal contests or rivalry between the 2 teams. Hopefully we have sportive pitches as well and not dull draws on flat roads.

Its also exciting cause senior players like our openers, Dhoni can get back in form. Remember they are still gonna be in this team for a couple of years (barring SRT and Zak).
vvvslaxman Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Historically boring series when it happens in India. Probably with an exception when Hadlee toured here.
