Tiger-Don Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Another good optin. Could be Geoff Marsh. Good coach and a good man but highly unlucky. Coached srilanka but they fired him even tho they weren't that bad. He also coached zimbabwe . :giggle: :omg:
Sean Bradley Posted December 14, 2012 Author Posted December 14, 2012 I guess its about time that motu might have to make way...So who next ? I want someone like kirsten, in 40's and played his cricket in 90's..Any west Indians?? Lara??
Pagalpanti Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Coach's role is over-rated. India won WT20, CB series (high point after 2007 world cup debacle) without a head-coach. Lalchand Rajput iirc was there with them.

Lord Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 somebody whos fit n not fat my pick would be Steve Waugh
vayuu1 Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I think we need a calm guy like dravid as a coach his experience can really be handy and bowling coach can be Ta shekher fielding coach can be jonty ,spin bowling coach can be murli
Late Cut Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Anyone who is allowed to be the coach and not walk on eggshells?
Lord Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I think we need a calm guy like dravid as a coach his experience can really be handy and bowling coach can be Ta shekher fielding coach can be jonty ' date='spin bowling coach can be murli[/quote'] Dravid is too weak, saw him as a captain, allowed Chapell to rule.would let things drift we need a strong character.
diga Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I would pick Tom Moody for the work ethic he brings to the table.. or Justin Langer if he is available.. Darren Lehmann could be a left field choice for the tactics & the fun he brings to the table
vayuu1 Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 And apart from that we definitely need a shrewd statistician ,who can give his input regarding the trends of opposition run scoring inparticular their man in form and about particular bowler of bowling unit strategy against u and not some jack **** it's high time we appoint a professional support stAff
Sean Bradley Posted December 14, 2012 Author Posted December 14, 2012 Dravid is too weak, saw him as a captain, allowed Chapell to rule.would let things drift we need a strong character. Exactly, yes BCCI can afford Steve Waugh, and yes, punter has retired, wonder what are his future plans. Punter coaching Sachin, thats gonna be epic :giggle:
CG Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 May be he agreed with chapell .Dravid will surely provide great cricketing brain for a new captain but its too early for dravid .
Pagalpanti Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I would dis agree' date=' what kirsten did was sensational, he kept the players together, i dont remember team having so many rifts when he was the coach..[/quote'] Forgot 2009? It was back then when the Dhoni-Sehwag rift rumours started. But swept under the carpet as India did well after the world cup. Kirsten also came out with statements during Dhoni's appointment as test captain. Didn't mean he was useless but its not all down to coach. Captain and players are responsible for this debacle.
