As per Cricinfo reports, Mohammad Akram has been roped in as Pak bowling coach. Probably PCB could not afford the 'other' Akram. So they went for an underachiever. Go Pakistan!

Not sure about his profile as a coach but as a bowler he was worse than Sami and I think was never selected for 2 consecutive series...

^ Coz drug tests are common these days. There's no direct relation between a player's career performance and his coaching abilities, so lets just see how much of an impact he has on their bowling.

Haven't heard about any phaasht bowler coming up from padosi mulk for a long time. Do they have any phaasht bowlers? All of them bowl under 135k. Have heard so much from padosi fans that we have better bowlers than india. Bowling powerhouse is fast turning in to bowling candlehouse.

Have seen him bowl. Avg bowler may be that was due to the presence of wasim, waqar and aqib at that time. Why didn't they select Ian Pont? :hehe:

What about Ian pont, heard he was the main contender ,what happened to his chances,I doubt vikram would have joined them, aaqib yes he was very underrated amongst there bowling lineup but makram good for them.

There is a dearth of fast bowling talent at the moment. Little doubt about that. But Aamer coming back will make a huge difference.
but what makes u believe that he will be as good as he was before he was caught, also how will the cricket fraternity treat him on his return, the other teams will seriously rub those dark chapters of his life on him,so life won't be so easy especially if he tours England or Australia imagane him speaking to botham or healy
