virufan Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 As per Cricinfo reports, Mohammad Akram has been roped in as Pak bowling coach. Probably PCB could not afford the 'other' Akram. So they went for an underachiever. Go Pakistan!

Crookbond Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 It would be fun if this was a miscommunication of the Akrams! :--D
Asim Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Not sure about his profile as a coach but as a bowler he was worse than Sami and I think was never selected for 2 consecutive series...
Ultimate_Game Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Must say that's quite a left field selection. I would have gone with Akram or Aaqib Javed.
superstar Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Why did they not take shoaib Aktar? He offered his service :D
Clarke Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 ^ Coz drug tests are common these days. There's no direct relation between a player's career performance and his coaching abilities, so lets just see how much of an impact he has on their bowling.
mastana Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Haven't heard about any phaasht bowler coming up from padosi mulk for a long time. Do they have any phaasht bowlers? All of them bowl under 135k. Have heard so much from padosi fans that we have better bowlers than india. Bowling powerhouse is fast turning in to bowling candlehouse.
mastana Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Aajkal load-shedding bht ho rahi hey... baarish nahi ho rahi toh fast bowlers ki crop bigad toh nahi gayi? :hehe:
Asim Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 ^ Yeah threat was there but don't worry barish season have just started, its late than usual but with that load-shedding also have start decreasing :winky:
mastana Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Have seen him bowl. Avg bowler may be that was due to the presence of wasim, waqar and aqib at that time. Why didn't they select Ian Pont? :hehe:
vayuu1 Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 What about Ian pont, heard he was the main contender ,what happened to his chances,I doubt vikram would have joined them, aaqib yes he was very underrated amongst there bowling lineup but makram good for them.
ravishingravi Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 There is a dearth of fast bowling talent at the moment. Little doubt about that. But Aamer coming back will make a huge difference.

But Aamer coming back will make a huge difference. but what makes u believe that he will be as good as he was before he was caught, also how will the cricket fraternity treat him on his return, the other teams will seriously rub those dark chapters of his life on him,so life won't be so easy especially if he tours England or Australia imagane him speaking to botham or healy
panther Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 zia ul haq was clcoked at 142k recently just 17
