But also keep in mind that Rahane and Mukund were big :fail:s in WI. That's why they should play more & more in the testing conditions.

Bist didn't play a single game for India A in West Indies, and he gets dropped. BCCI at its best here.. Who's the test opener barring Sehwag,Gambhir & Rahane then?But really it's hard to imagine why Bisht is dropped???!!!
rkt.india Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Tanmay Shrivastava too should be given chances at A level. Though he has very modest average in FC, but when there is scarcity of openers and the ones who got chances failed then you have to look somewhere else. KB Pawan is another opener.

The previous legends are all retiring one after the other, and our current crop of senior players won't be around forever. I think the ICB needs to identify the best batsmen (not just guys who can hit a few boundaries) and start preparing them for the big stage. Rahane? Chand? Who else?
